Seen on sky sports app today that Brighton are monitoring Bogarde as a replacement for baleba, would be a shame to lose him but if it meant not selling any first team stars for psr at the end of the season it wouldn't be to bad for the immediate future, that said I had seen him as a future replacement for kamara whenever he leaves, retires or whatever.

what's everyone's thoughts?
Rather keep him for the future?
Sell him?
If so how much?
Take into consideration that Brighton want 100 million for Baleba.

I’d keep him, apart from the fee they were suggesting being low (£25 million) his salary costs aren’t that high and his ability to play several positions are a plus. Having said the fee for Bogarde is too low that’s in the context of the £100 million Brighton want for Baleba.

He is a decent player but £100 million never, if he is worth £100 million what price Rogers?

That guy Enzo we got from juve is ripping it up on loan, reports are describing him as 1 of the best CM in Europe right now, bad news for us as reports state he's only a couple of appearances away from a permanent move for what's described as peanuts, looks like we might have lost out with him, the signs we there that he had quality but instead we paid 50 million for Onana, these are the things putting us under financial pressure, I hope the new guy has a good eye for talent and I hope these young players get game time or we are just wasting our time.

Tielemans out for another 5 weeks apparently, that's going to hurt us he is one of the most important players imo

Diogo costa rumour circulating also. don't know anything about lammens but Costa is among the best in Europe I'd rather him to be honest, god only knows what our team will look like come Wednesday, going to be a busy finish to the window

Whack, window closes today at 7pm not tomorrow.

2.) 01 Sep 2025 18:05:32
Lol what’s that got to do with the price of turnips?

Here's a positive outlook for those disappointed with lack of signings.
If any premier league team signed Watkins Martinez and rogers it would be hailed as a brilliant window, same goes for us keeping them.

Totally agree.
I would also add that Watkins having a break to recover looks almost like a new signing going into the new season.

25 million for Luiz. I say not a chance. Lucky to be worth half of it.

1.) 26 Mar 2026 15:46:54
That's what an average player costs these days. We've either got to buy young and develop, or buy older players with no resale value. We can't afford players of the level we need to progress in their prime.

2.) 26 Mar 2026 19:49:54
I'd rather spend it on a young player to learn off Kamara and Tielemans. Luiz's best days are behind him.

3.) 27 Mar 2026 11:56:45
You won't get a young player with potential for £25 million. Take Archie Gray, 20 years old, a good young player who we are allegedly interested in, particularly if Spurs are relegated. Opening bids are likely to start at £50 million. I don't think they will get £50 million, but they will certainly get more than £25 million.

Gray is a good player, but still has a lot to learn, nowhere near a £50 million player in my view. As with all these things, the market will ultimately determine the fee.

4.) 27 Mar 2026 16:34:44
Ultimately our recruitment has to be better.

The likes of Brentford and Sunderland have pulled some cracking players in for minimal fees this season.

For all the great work Unai has done, his talent id is questionable. He's got the best out of a Smith and Gerrard team, but we are 4 years in, and we should be seeing him get the best out of Unai Emery.

Cannot deny we have PSR restrictions, but he's still had £450m to spend, and, let's be honest, it's not been utilised very well.

5.) 27 Mar 2026 19:00:53
But most of that £450 million has been recovered in sales. His net spend is less than £50 million, and I know your view is his transfer dealings haven't been great, but I think he has got at least as many right as wrong.

6.) 28 Mar 2026 01:11:11
Archie Gray is a good young player, but, more importantly, in relation to his transfer fee he is a good young player with loads of Premier League experience, which drives his price up. We need to find these players before they hit the Premier League, cause there is no value to be had once they prove themselves at top level. We need to go abroad and even the Championship.

Some players he bought worked and some didn’t. Some worked to a degree. For example, Roger’s worked and is a constant in the first team, but that’s about it. Onana and Maatsen worked to a degree, but neither have managed to nail down their place if everyone was fit. Torres worked to a degree, but is he our best left sided CB? It’s still up for debate. Diaby and Malen worked to a degree but couldn’t nail down their spot either, and both moved on.

Duran worked but, with his personality, he wasn’t happy to stay either, but we made a good profit on him so it’s probably seen as a win. Abraham doesn’t look like a win cause he can’t dislodge a striker who couldn’t score for 2 months.
Ask yourself this, in a fully fit squad how many Emery players start? Only 1 for definite, maybe Torres and Maatsen aswel, that for me is poor recruitment after 3 years and a decent amount spent. Dean Smith has more transfer wins in the current squad and he’s been gone for 4 years. I know Tielemans is an Emery player aswel but he was free. We need to spend the money we get for Malen and Guessand wisely or we will struggle next season.

7.) 28 Mar 2026 18:04:06
The fact that we are constantly being linked with free transfers, the likes of Wilson, Brandt, Mingueza, Senesi, I think, tells you where a lot of our focus is at currently, and that links very much to the financial package Unai is having to work with at present.

8.) 29 Mar 2026 18:48:46
100% lotm, if we could snag Wilson and Senesi, it would be great business 2 very good squad players at the very least, they would be very close to being first team if Emery worked his magic and extracted that extra bit that he seems to find in players.

Solid performance today, dominated them for the majority and a great result. Didn’t get to watch all of it. I had 12 kids here for a party but what I seen of it we looked quiet comfortable and deserving of the 3 points. Boy did we miss meatball, look a different team with him back. Decent looking squad today and delighted to see YT back in action.

Other teams stumbling now so maybe it’s our turn to push on. Win our next 5 and the last 2 games of the season won’t matter is my opinion. All in our own hands. Shout out to Barkley he’s so much better than Luiz. Good performance from Watkins too and great work getting his goal, hopefully it will give him some confidence.

Didn’t post last night. Game was a tough watch for most parts but at the same time it was quiet controlled and we stifled them for the majority of it. Emery ball just doesn’t excite me and I love to watch us play with pace; the backwards stuff kills my soul. Some good performances around the pitch as well as some poor ones. Tammy didn’t pull up any trees but the crowd seemed happy that he got a start and it was nice to hear them cheer his name as he was coming off. I think his performance was a bit hindered by our constant passing backwards and desire to control possession. I don’t like it but it worked. Ollie showed spark when he came on, done great work for the goal but then done his usual wasting of easier chances, the one where he couldn’t pass the ball to Luiz who was 3 feet away was typical of his form this year; he gets goals and assists but he wastes so many other opportunities..
I really hope we don’t buy Luiz permanently in the summer. I honestly cannot remember a “more boring player” than him, can’t pass can’t tackle, he’s petulant, he’s lazy, he’s everything I hate about a player.

I know we were stuck for a midfielder but please god he is just a stop gap player and will head back to Juve in the summer..
Glad to see Porto and Lyon gone especially, super glad to see Roma gone. I was full sure Malen would come back to haunt us, hopefully he comes back to play for us instead..
Tielemans back training with the squad so hopefully he’s close to full fitness and back after the international break. He will be a huge boost, you can see how much MaGinn has lifted us and cash back as well might give Bogarde a chance in midfield instead of Luiz..
As bad as our form has being you can see how much better we were against Lille compared to when we played them in the conference, either we pushed on since or they have really regressed but it was quiet comfortable over the 2 legs without us playing our best..
3 points on Sunday would make it a decent fortnight for us, ITV. ?

What's the thoughts on tonight's lineup?

Whackattack

1.) 19 Mar 2026 19:53:36
People have been calling for Tammy to start, so now we'll see. Lindelof was unlucky to be dropped in the 1st place, and Konsa could probably do with a rest, with Sunday in mind. We should have enough to see out the tie. 1-1 on the night, 2-1 on aggregate.

2.) 19 Mar 2026 22:25:35
Bucky, he was never the answer.

No more than we deserve, can't play for 60 mins with 10 men. Watkins only ever in the way.

Probably wouldn't be playing for us, but 2 goals in 13 games is simply not good enough. We won't be successful if he keeps wasting golden opportunities. We don't create enough for him to waste so many, and if we don't go to the next round he will get the blame.

Didn't Chelsea fans claim the exact same thing last summer? I suspect Chelsea are the same as every other club, and don't tell fans about any transfers until there's actually something to tell them.

This season I thought victor and Ezri were our best paring, I know we lost the 3 guys in midfield but he lost his place around the same time and results have slipped. obviously not all because of him but I do believe it had some impact

This would be great if we could wrangle it, I do think there are some restrictions though, I’d imagine it’s a bit like selling the stadium and the women’s team where we had to stick to market value. I do think we will have a juicy sponsorship deal if we can get top 5

Yep because Emery rang around all the news outlets and informed them what he’s planning to do in the summer. or maybe it’s just made up rubbish. every tabloid going will try sell Roger’s in every window, yet not one bid we have received for him

I don't like City, but I have come to hate Arsenal as much as I hate United, so I hope they do bottle it. I'm just sorry we're not close enough to put pressure on them. It should be quite an exciting run-in from here to match day 38.
