Just watched Emery's latest presser, I have definitely noticed a difference in his interaction with the press. In my opinion he is a lot more spiky and nowhere near as relaxed over the last few months. I don't think all is
rosy with him. Style of play, injuries, possible relationship with the hierarchy transfers, may possibly be getting to him and I think it is showing. This may well transmit to the players and current performances would certainly account for this. Anyone else noticed a change in his demeanour.

It's probably a lot more frustration on his part with some players letting him down, some poor performances and a lot more criticism than he's had over the last 18 months. I think most people would probably be the same.

I think you may well be right 83, fans are frustrated as well. You refer to poor performances and players letting him down, if you get chance read the goalkeeper and defensive stats for all premier teams. Martinez stats are right at the bottom of all prem goalkeepers and it appears that he has cost us three unnecessary goals, our defence figures are even worse, they have cost us seven unnecessary goals and are in the bottom three.The info is, with all of the facts on the SKY sports app, it makes sad reading, however it's only what we have been seeing first hand so I'm not surprised.

Jonny he looks like a man under pressure, I'm sure he is and will be doing everything in his power to turn things around. Injuries to both atack and defence don't help matters.

Yes Scotty l would think Malen is disappointed at missing out and so should any Villa player that has missed out.To say he thought he would be a dead cert to be in the squad/team l do not agree with.No player is guaranteed a place in any squad/team they have to work for it. It’s part part of being a professional footballer.Now he and whoever else missed out need to go out and prove Emery wrong.Which would be great for us fans and AVFC as a club.On the watching the Emery’s latest presser thing .I’ve watched them before and after your comment on here just to see if l could see what you were seeing/reading in to his comments body shape or if he was spiky . But l did not not see nothing that you did.We all know everything is not perfect at the moment otherwise we would be top of the league and in a cup final already. As it is we are 8th in the league 4 points off a champion’s league spot with nearly all the teams above us still to play . Like l said before things are far from perfect. But l see a manager coaches recruitment team and owners trying dam hard to put things right and as is football only time will tell . I’m just enjoying the ride because l know these times don’t come round much with our beloved Villa let’s just hope the club Emery and the players can give us the same end to the season as last year with a European place and who knows a ??
