Various reports, including those from South Africa and Algeria, suggest that Aston Villa, Everton and Marseille are the first clubs to express interest in the South African goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.

In the summer of 2015, Khune had signed a 5 year contract extension with Soweto based Kaizer Chiefs. The R470000 a month contract (£20000+-) had never left the goalkeeper content. Notoriously admiring interest from clubs from Denmark, Portugal and Spain (July 2015), Khune still has his heart set on a European move.

This may be in the best interest of European clubs, as the South African Rand has plummeted in value, Khune's fee and wages would be minimal considering the ability and acclaim he has been known to receive.

Being South African myself, I can vouch for Khune, he is unbelievable.

Leeds United and England u21 defender Tom Lees linked with future move to Villa.

More to follow in up coming weeks

Bannan likely to leave the club within the next 10-14 days.

Djarrodc

1.) Lees hands stated he would only move to big and successful club not one fighting relegation

2.) Clearly a dirty Leeds fan! Villa are a big club and although we were in a relegation battle last season, things are looking up for the future with our young and hungry squad taking shape. A great environment for any up and coming player who actually wants to get a game!

3.) If 'Hands has stated. ' is true, why would PL waste his time (and the club's money) on such a pipsqueak upstart? Be off with you, young man and find employment where your immature outlook on life 'ME, ME, ME!' would be better valued such as a reality tv show, perhaps? Now. go away.

4.) Who says we are fighting relegation the season hasn't even begun yet.

5.) Well look at the season odds for relegation battle you vile lot are 5th favourites to go Down so the 3 that went up are there the3 ones then you have stoke so it clearly dates it and I'm a Leeds fan saying this :)

6.) Vile lot. Is this conversation about football or has someone declared war or even something worse? calm down buddy, a bit to angry!

South African reports suggest Aston Villa have enquired about the availability of Kaizer Chiefs and South African number 1, Itumeleng Khune (26) who has been priced out at between R20-25million (£1. 2-7m).

Khune has impressed at international stages for his country in Confederation Cup, 2010 World Cup and recent African Cup of Nations.

With speculation of his future in doubt, many European clubs are curiously watching over his availability.

Djarrodc

1.) He is too old for our pre school.

2.) He's 25

3.) What's happened to Jesus the Spanish goalie?
Is that deal off now?

4.) Still in Villa's sights. Khune is just a possibility, as an asking price has been set.

Khune was rumoured in South African press in April that Arsenal had been impressed in his performances in the recent AFCON. Rumours cleared, as speculation on Arsenals goalkeeper problem could result in a bid for the talented keeper.

His strengths include distribution, arial ability, punching out, quick feet and jumping.

5.) I've knew about khune for a while now and think we should got him at an earlier stage in his career

6.) Wouldn't this RSA keeper want first team footy? Cus I don't think I'd pick many keepers ahead of guzan, especially a keeper who doesn't play at a high level week in week out.

For me
No1. Guzan
No2. Siegrist

7.) Yes I really want to see seigrist a chance
