Forgetting the horror of the pitch invader.
Mings is what we have been looking for to play with TZ when fit. Together they would be rock solid. I like the way Mings is taking control and was not surprised when he got the Capt armband from Jack.
Can we keep the pair?
Big question. Would they stay?
We are still one of the top 10 of clubs in the country and are still paying good money in wages terms. Problem is we are not prem club on the pitch, but we are in every other way.
If we can get into the playoffs then get the final place these guys will get the opportunity they are looking for, playing in the prem.
Our defence has been like a rusty bucket, full of holes. Now it looks good, not outstanding, but it will get better.

I wonder how Chessie fits in to Deano's plans when axel is fit. Interestingly he had been stripped of the captaincy as Jack had been given this permanently. I think he had been a great servant and player since he joined, however along with short arse Taylor lack of height is definitely an issue. I am sure he is a great asset to have on the bench, however is he going to be happy with that and not now captain. I wonder what he would be like as a right back. Any thoughts guys.

PLay 3 across the back as we did pre 1966. Chester, TZ and Mings
Old wing halves secured the pitch in front of them and even behind.
2 inside forwards, now 8 and 10, 2 wingers and the number 9.

The 8 and 10 could come through to support the front 3 at anytime and drop back if needed.
Sort of 3 2 2 3. Or 3 4 3.
