urgently need to get something off my chest.
I can't quite believe that rondon has signed for the baggies I mean jesus the bloke might be the most under-rated ST in world football considering the rather small price tag. according to reports, villa were interested and if true that is a disgrace. never should wba be a more attractive club then aston villa I mean christ they have tony pulis in charge who is anti-football. normally when looking at their signings I wouldn't take them at villa but this one does hurt to see him join them.
thoughts?????

We should concentrate on our own team and have faith in sherwood.
Perhaps he didn't want him. perhaps he felt he wasn't right for us. perhaps he went there as that was the only option left.
Just because he is available doesn't mean he is the right man for villa.
We have had so much dross the last few years, we now have a manager that wants to move forward, let's trust in him, who he brings in, and worry about the villa, no one else.

We should be positive about what we have, not concentrate on who or what we have missed out on.

Well said, it's was only paper talk that said we were interested, it was at the time we were linked to every striker in the world,

I agree with you but seemingly we are linked with bringing in potentially another ST. we were linked with rondon yet a smaller club have been able to attract him over us. I heavily trust in sherwood and believe he is the right man to take us forward but I cannot believe that wba have looked more attractive a proposition then AVFC.

How do you know 'over us?' How do you know we didn't reject him??

Well said Flackie - Sherwood seems like the kind of guy who doesn't take no for an answer, if he wanted to get him, he would have. There was all those reports of Amavi not being interested in us, yet we have him now, and Ayew saying he decided to join after spending 5 minutes with Sherwood.

Lets not forget Rondon's come from the Russian league where players are on very very good money, and the last thing we need to be doing is bringing in players on inflated wages, especially when we have suffered through years of Paul Lambert being ordered to get the wage bill down. I can't really see any of our new signings being on too much money, which makes them even more impressive in my eyes. Richards being the exception, but then again he is the captain.

Are you guys sure it was rondon we were linked with? I can't remember ever seeing any links to him.
Only link I've seen similar to this is for rolan

From what I saw it was a fairly loose rumour that was floating around for a couple days - I can't see that there was ever much serious interest.
