Well fabian I really hope it works out for you at man city. I really hope you do not spend your best years sat on the bench behind players signed for silly money watching your hopes of England playing time sink with the weight of your wallet. Yeah that speech is what's made this so bitter! Sterling will follow Delph to City and then the scouse will come for Benteke. At least the our recruitment can properly start.

Actually thinking about it now - he might have been forced by the club to do that speech to keep the fans and the dressing room positive for the rest of the season. And to be fair it did keep us more upbeat. We are probably being a bit harsh picking that out and tarnishing his character with it.

Exactly what I said in earlier posts delph was only being loyal to villa by signing, so we could get money from a sale rather than him walking away on a free!!!

But he could have not signed a new deal, let his contract run out and leave for free. Surely that would have guaranteed him a move?
