I think, under unrelenting pressure Paul Lambert is doing the best he can with the resources available to him. He has an owner who has lost interest, and just wants to dump the club. I'm amazed that no group of investors can see the the potential.

I don't think Villa are anywhere near ready for a top 4 slot for years. But we should be the equal of Spurs, Everton etc.
I can remember seeing Crystal Palace, Swansea and Southampton playing at Walsall. Now we are out of their league.
The Premiership today is a division of the haves and have nots, it isn't about history, stadiums or fans. It is about owners with deep pockets. We shall have to be patient, someone will come along and have the vision to give the West Midlands a club that can join, and break this monopoly of North West and London powerbase.
1.) It, s not a question of Lambert or Lerner being culpable.

Apologists for Lambert are becoming a rarity. He has to go or we are down for certain

Surely its time to stop all this "he is working under pressure", "he doesn't get enough to spend", "what if rubbish".
Lambert is not good enough to manage our club.

I think its fair to say there have been many managers over the years that have had relatively good track records, but are found seriously wanting at bigger clubs, especially when expectations are so high.
Lerner should hear and see this, and take the hit.
Pay the man up and move on, Lerner could save face here if he does the right thing NOW.
