Any thoughts on players for next season??
Think the young English reading left back Jordan Obita would be decent signing and fit in with TS's philosophy.
Also like to see him get rid of Westwood, we don't need him he's told scared to play with the ball and too lightweight. Gardener is a far better player than him and offers goals too.
Wouldn't mind if TS went back into Spurs for dembele for a bit of solidity in the middle, Sanchez is ok but makes too many mistakes.

I think Gardner will shine if he stays injury free def better than all of villas midfield except Delph

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 17:26:50
would like to see gardener given a go, sherwoods took the risk with grelish and ill always admit when i'm wrong but i thought his first couple games was shocking and he was looking very over rated but he's so far come good and looking a great prospect for the future, let's just hope he gets better and just for once we keep a talent

29 Apr 2015 21:39:56
Grealish is def better through the middle where he's involved more. Let's hope he starts adding some goals to his game

Helenius has just scored his third goal in a hatrick today.

helenus is another i want sherwood to take a "risk" on. lad is ment to have so much potentol yet gets used as a bit player in league cup and then shipped out on loan,

What are people's thoughts on Carlos Sanchez? I don't know what it is about him but i really want to like him! However he makes it hard when he gives away possession and needless freekicks constantly! He does show glimpses of what he's capable of on occasions just not often enough. Just hoping he's more consistent next season, if Sherwood likes him enough to keep.

29 Apr 2015 17:20:21
said this from the start and people slated me on here. he looks like hoe COULD be a half decent player but if you was to watch him for the whole 90 minutes he seems to have a mare for the first 20 mins settles for next 30 then for next 40 i'm covering my eys on every tackle or touch of the ball.

So, are we are safe or not
Unlucky yesterday but surely we can pick up 6 to 7 points from our last 3 home games ?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Apr 2015 09:40:39
Definitely not safe just yet but i think 4 points from Everton and West Ham and we should be! To be honest with how we are playing at the moment i think all of the remaining fixtures are winnable providing we cut out the errors.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 17:22:23
before the city game i would have been happy with 7 points from what we had left but after that and how good we looked other than 3 stupid goals to concide i don't see why we can't go unbeaten or the last games we have

Just wanted to congratulate tim sherwood and our lads today on a great performance and win. I know I come out with some out there story's and love some banter but I'm a very proud villan and feel proud to whair the shirt. Another performance like today in the final and I think we have every chance of winning some silverware. I'm starting to get a great feeling about the villa under tim sherwood. I hope he is supported with a decent budget In the summer that be from randy or a new owner and give time as I feel he could be a good fit for this great club. So so happy up the mighty villa.

A fully deserved victory for Aston Villa. Now I know that Tim Sherwood is the right man for Aston Villa. I also know that we will win the FA Cup final, because we have a very good manager now. I am just so delighted with the victories.

Villa to make a shock 23 mil bid to sign Oscar from Chelsea in the summer. Just the sort of creative player we need and the new owner in waiting wants to make a statement signing straight away. Watch this space. Kingy told ya first.

Hi everyone. I'm hearing a very interesting rumour this morning. The new owner is in place and will be announced after we get 4 more points, most probably last game of season. Now this is where it gets interesting I'm hearing they won't be keeping sherwood on even if he was to keep us up and win fa cup. I'm being told that kloop has been aapproached and told the plan and that he would have a sizable budget to get villa top 4 within next 3 years. Close to a deal as well I believe. Thoughts please.

16 Apr 2015 19:18:52
Hi Kingvilla.
My thoughts are it makes for a good bit of banter, but that’s it.
I think a top manager will become available in Klopp, and you have thought about it for a while, you have put 2 and 2 together and got 357.
I like the crack though Kingvilla but rubbish mate.

This sight now appears to have more adverts than rumours

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - that's because the transfer window is shut and you don't have a long term manager in place to choose players yet. No point the club identifying players for Sherwood until they know he will be in charge.}

13 Apr 2015 17:24:09
Woodsville55, you also need people to contribute by saying something, we are sill in a relegation battle as we have been for weeks but people are just not posting.
A few weeks ago I posted IS THERE ANYBODY THERE an only Mendax replied.

13 Apr 2015 19:49:26

Villadave.
Sorry mate, been in and out of hospital since my accident, so not been posting!
All is starting to look up and with a little luck, next season we could not only be a perm team, we may be in Europe.

My first game back will be Wembley. I can't wait!!

{Ed007's Note - On behalf of all Eds I'd like to wish you a speedy recovery mate.}

Hi Flackie.
Sorry to hear your accident has caused you so much trouble, have missed your input.
And yep things are starting to look better, looks like we got Timmy boy in just in time.

Fantastic result yesterday. I love Sherwood's attitude of going for it in games
We may not always win but we now carry a threat in games
Another couple of wins should see us safe
I wasn't sure about TS when he first took charge but he's winning me over

12 Apr 2015 21:30:07
Yes a great result Mendax, I am glad you are coming round with Sherwood, I think he is infectious and certainly likes to entertain.
I am looking forward to seeing what additions and subtractions he will be making .
I would like to see us win our home games now, and hopefully look forward to some happy days under a potentially very good manager.

05 Apr 2015 13:11:00
Where was Vlaar? If he was needed for any game then this was the one. TS said he was fit and he was on the bench. Why did he keep the bench warm all afternoon?
When is Gil going to get a game?
On the whole the team on the pitch looked lost and no different to previous performances.
Two games on today that will affect the end of the season, just hope that the results go our way. We could be in the bottom 3 tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2015 18:35:04
Hi Oldvillan, I am not sure Vlaar is up to speed just yet.
As far as Gil is concerned I am as miffed as anyone else, I agree he is probably the only one who has that bit of spark that makes a difference in a game, I think he might play on Tuesday.
QPR on Tuesday is a make or break game for me, loose it and I think survival will be very hard for us, I believe we have to win all our home games to have any chance of staying up, games have not gone our way this weekend, but we should not be depending on other teams loosing should we.
If we do stay up I honestly think 50% or more of our current squad must go, Sherwood is trying to make it work with words he is doing what most managers would do by telling them they are great etc etc but he is not daft, he knows just as we do that this squad is poor, very poor.
As it stands he can only use band aids and creams, but he knows it needs surgery to cure the problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2015 14:44:34
Vlaar is so overrated it's untrue
I feel like the kid in the emperors new clothes saying it but he ain't that good
He had a good World Cup and people talk about him as if he were the new McGrath. He's behind Okore, Clark and Senderos for me
As for Saturday; that was always going to be a difficult game to get anything from. United are bang in form and better teams than us will go there and get the same treatment
Sherwoods impact has been as good as we could have hoped with the squad that the idiot spent 3 years constructing.
As Villadave says, I think half will be gone in the summer if Sherwood gets his way

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Apr 2015 17:42:24
Sherwood may not be there come summer according to some other sites.

All the talk in the world will not change the current situation.
What we have is a complete failure of the AVFC company.
Posters blame PL but the blame lies with the people that run the club.
Who sold the players that actually made up more than half the England team?Who consistently appointed managers that were not good enough?
I don't believe that TS is the right man to push us forward and was appointed because there was little choice.
Should we be lucky enough to avoid the drop I will be delighted. The players that we have must work harder, they must want to perform. Some look like they don't want to be at VP so the prediction that half won't be there after the summer.
This means that much funding will be needed but the rules don't allow owners to fund from their own pockets. The sale of players will not bring in enough to allow any manager to go to the market and buy "stars" and we end up doing exactly what we have done for several seasons, buying cheap and trying to develop.
Sorry guys, until the total structure changes we will not succeed regardless of who manages AVFC.
