No better then what we have

We were linked with Simpson in the summer but he wanted £40k a week he's not worth that so not for me
Sinclair is a good player an I'm sure he'd make an impact so yeah I'd have him at villa park, but priority should be a defender an a centre mid

Villa have no fit/decent wing players. But as Mancini said, City have a shrunken squad so can't afford to sell or even loan out players.
Agree4
Disagree1
No he can't go on loan because a player is not allowed to play for 3 bpl clubs in one season

Joe Cole could be heading to Villa Park for a bid rumoured to be around £4.5million

Where does this rubbish come from? He, s on 90k per week, we can afford about 20. {Ed001's Note - he took a pay cut to join Liverpool, he would take another for guaranteed footie. Mind he can afford it as he is asking for 3.6m from Liverpool to leave.}

Joe cole woundnt come to before chose to go to france, why would now, and would we want him he is long past it he would be on big wages and always injured like the rest of the earners,

Bring back moustapha hadji and benito carbone, that will add some experience!! There both 41 and played there last games in 2010 but c'mon now sir's you cant forget carbones goal against leeds. Might aswell get juan pablo angel aswell him and benteke up front will smash it. If lerner reads this i will be villas new manager and will bring back the glory days. I don't understand, lambert said we needed experience but we kept being linked with people from the championship? We can't get more 'young talent' we need experience
Agree8
Disagree1
I think its a misconception that all players in the Championship are not experienced. I have no problem with PL signing a player from the Championship who is 25/26/27 and been playing regularly for a good few years. The concern is the players he is buyin only have a handful of years exp between then. For me Westwood looks like he could be the real deal but he needs a 'Reo-Coker' type player next to him

Persons wanting to bring back mon. With the amount of money he spent he failed and we are now paying the price. You only have to look at Sunderland to see what an outdated manager he is.
Agree2
Disagree2
Failed under MON? Cup final, 2 cup semi finals, challenging for top 4 three seasons runnin and bringing back some great European nights back to Villa Park. Sounds like a right failure.

Disagree1
I CLEARLY wrote with how much money he spent. Those are ok but when he spent as much as he did he should have done better. Do you understand the relevance?
Agree0
Disagree1
Could have done better? Are you being serious?? Do you not remember where we were when he took over? Only Downing and Milner cost more then 10m so cant recall him wasting a fortune on any one player. To imply he spents 100's of millions of pounds for us not to have done better is ridiculous. Other then ManU and Arsenal (but not without funds), Chelsea and Man City (and Blackburn considering finances at that time) brought success by spending much more then MON did at the Villa. To turn a team from one in a relegation scrap to a team challenging for europe regularly playing fantastic and exciting football in a few seasons with what he spent is a good return for me. 'Those are ok...' Your response is actually laughable and very poor!

Dale stephens, nurse get this lunatic back into his bed, rather see dale winton than stephens or even dale gribble from king of the hill

Villa need experienced players around 30-35 yrs old that have played with clubs better than villa but are forgotten now
Agree2

I think we are desperately missing stan, we need a copy of him, in my opinion we need 2 new defenders 2 midfielders and another striker all with premier league experience although i do think the current strikers we have are fine just need them midfielders and defenders who are experienced to show the young players what to do and no nonsense like. Really hoping lambert buys some experience this window we need it !! UTV
