It would be a great signing although I think Guzan is good enough. If we have a limited amount of money to spend I don't think the Goalkeeper spot should be a spot we look to spend that much money on when we need new strikers, wingers, and defenders as a much higher priority.

Begovic would be a great signing. Guzan has been great for us but his distribution has become worse and it has affected his confidence. Time to move him on if he's not happy with sitting on the bench.

The report I read said the bid was made some time ago, and villa are still talking to Stoke, as begovic see it as a good move as his family are settled in the Staffordshire area

Hope this goes through. Guzan really took a step backwards last season and we definitely need to get a better keeper in if we are looking to push the team on.

personally i think the more help we get the better, he is experienced so can only be a bonus for TS. can't be any worse can it? my biggest bug bear at the moment is there isn't much action with regards to players coming in.

Villa to bid 8 million for begovic off Stoke. Good solid keeper and would be a great battle between him and guzan for the shirt. Begovic would start as number one though which could see guzan seek a move.

hi people i was talking to steve staunton again tonight he said he's heard the takeover is now off and sherwood has a budget of 20 mill an anythink he sells lerners taking a back seat as we know so tom fox will run things this season till we can find a buyer. Iam gutted because for once i would like to buy players that aren't from league 1 of england or france. i mean what's the point in watching a team fight to stay up every year sick of it! soon as i hear more will let you know sorry for the bad news!

If there was 3 intrested partys then why wernt the club sold ages ago been forsale for a year? Fact is there's been 1 intrested party any now he don't want it. i belive a former player rather than people who make stuff up! why would the stoke number1 come to villa? stoke never fighting relegation an always come higher than us now days why would he swap them for us they can pay more wages aswell! villa buy league 1 players at least link us we somethink beliveable

Lerner only wants to sell the club to someone that can take villa further that's why it has not sold straight away. It is common knowledge that there are 3 intrested partys and one prefered buyer who is in talks now. If there is a non discloser agreement why would an ex player know about it you prefer to listen to an ex player who knows as much as the people on hear !!!
