Aston Villa to sign Lewis Mcgugan from Notts Forest with Chris Herd (not Barry Bannan) moving in the opposite direction! Herd was a favourite of Ecks while he was in charge at villa.

Swap deals as the other clubs do not believe Bent is worth villa's valuation of £15m. No word on any Fulham or QPR swap, villa are known to have an interest in Tomkins (West Ham) & Kenwyne Jones + Roberth Huth (Stoke).

Is that definite for Derek boateng? and ed doesn't Marty Philips play for Blackpool? So if there was a swap deal with bent surely he wouldn't go {Ed001's Note - I don't think he was suggesting Phillips would be a swap deal, just that Villa are after him and they have the money to pay his wages, plus the lure of first team football in the Prem.}

That was a great result even though we should of won! All the way through the first half we were getting exposed in the midfield. A defender and a midfielder are the main priorities in January. We are linked with a Danish bologna defender only 20 which I think isn't old enough to bring in for defence, but in midfield at Tottenham Sandro has taken parkers place so maybe a move for him? If not Huddlestone and to be honest a striker to keep benteke and weimann on there toes would be good

We owe everthin to bents goals! If it wasn't for him we'd still be trying to get out of the championship. That's why it's a disgrace how he was treated first half of the season, kept us up then gets left out of squads over a measly £3m
