Gardner has potential from the past performances but has been unlucky with injury. He hasn't played for a very long time, He/We cannot expect him to walk back into the Villa side, he has to do what Grealish has done (Notts County) and re prove his abilities. PL has done the right thing by putting him with a young up and coming manager out of the spotlight and let him find his feet again. I wish him well as I think it's there but it's got to be nurtured again and his confidence has got to be built up and a spring put back in his step. Good luck GG fingers crossed.
