I know it's hard to back lambert but let's face it the job as the villa manager particularly in the circumstances over the past couple of years has been mission impossible.
Don't get me wrong my opinion of lambert isn't of a high value as we don't have a fluid attacking style but when you put things into context of the teams we finished above and how much money they spent it's fair to say he hasn't done so bad. The bigger picture is why the club's in the doldrums.

Is this the Kieth Harris the vent. with his hand up Orvilles backside? Rumours abound but nothing deffinate about a buyer in the pipeline and Lerner gives PL £10m to bolster the team. The old phrase " you pay peanuts you get m. " seems to fit the situation. We must hold on to Vlaar and play him with Okores and Senderous to keep the back line tight and there are enough others to look after the business of scoring. I am looking forward to a reasonable season and if we can avoid our normal run of crap performances at the run in we will finish in the middle of the prem.
This £10m transfer funds nothing new, wasn't this said at the start of the window?

so, the cat's out of the bag and lamberk does have 10 mill to waste on more luna's and tonevs! whatever, posters no more rubbish about defour it won't happen and was never going to last night at Walsall, gabby again looked like a player with little to offer I think this season may be his last, I hope its a good one, he's been a good loyal servant, unlike others more easily mentioned.
again, hutton, goal aside looked like the quality fullback we've craved, not knowing we already had one if Warnock had been kept, we may have been better balanced the last two years, playing hutton and Richardson as wing backs looks good, but rest need to do as well, I still think lamberk will be the first managerial sacking of the season, what do you all reckon?
Nobody has ever been sacked for doing the job he was instructed to do. PL has done what was asked of him. Some of his buys were questionable but the players sent away came from Lerner as they were being paid way above Lerners intention. Lerner gave O, Neil loads of money and he offered some players golden handcuffs and PL is carrying the can. I don't know if PL can do the job but he should be given the chance if we can find a buyer. Lerner has strangled our club but used PL, s hands. At the last minute Lerner has granted £10m to buy players. What a liberty to put it into a well known phrase!!
Well PL should get 1 half decent player in stead of 2/3 who can't cut it, he's only had 2 buys any good you can't blame Lerner for that PL is not good enough for ASTON VILLA

This hasn't been a bad summer for Villa with the new signings, injury and bomb squad returns there are reasons to be optimistic
Okore > Baker
Senderos > Clark
Hutton > Lowton
Richardson > Bennett
N'Zogbia > Albrighton
Grealish > Tonev
Hopefully followed up by 3 signings in the next couple of weeks; rumoured to be Ki, Sinclair and a striker the squad is starting to shape nicely. Benteke and Kozak are expected to return earlier than expected and between them there is 25 goals if fully fit.

Hi Guys. This conspiracy theorist in me wants to ask, why no number 9 this term? Does DB getting the iconic 19 shirt mean he is well and truly in the future plans? Whilst the question about Bent is a little tongue-in-cheek, the lack of a number 9 is puzzling, don't you think?
