I'm not one for wanting a manager sacked (except when it was MacLeish)
But I really are concerned where we are going. I backed lambert till the bitter end an wasn't overly happy when he got the bullet although I agree something had to be done and yes tim came in an kept us up but who's to say lambert wouldn't have. We are no better now than we was under lambert. Lookin at the next few games I am really worried an can't see us pickin up so many points. If we are to change manager I feel it has to be done before jan an a new manager needs a 50m kitty to keep us in league. We have a few decent players but seriously think we need to add some proven players an not ones that are past there best.

Valdes
Trippier Richards okore amavi
Gueye Livermore
Traore Grealish Sinclair
Defoe

That would do me an think would keep us up

I agree, totally, and felt the same regarding lambert and Tim.
But, and this is the hardest thing to say, why would anyone come here??
What can we offer, what incentives of coming for relegation fight after relegation fight can there be, unless we sign pure mercenaries. And how do we improve with that??

We you not the one banging the drum about sherwood a couple of weeks ago about keeping faith and how quick villa fans want to sack a manager and quick we are to jump on players backs

I said during the window we needed defoe or hernandez, neither of them did we pit in a bid for we bid for (Dwight gale) who was going to be no better than what we have
We needed a proven central midfielder never got one
Grealish, sinclare, gill can not play in the same team together because we are too weak in central midfield to let them 3 go and play
Gill looks as if he playing badly because of our right back problem everything seems to be comeing from that side
Our squad is no more balanced than what it was last season sherwood has spent a nice amount of money results have been poorer than this time last year we are hearing the same excuse week after week year after year, at least lambert make us a little bit hard to beat now you just wake up on a Saturday morning thinking how will we get bet by today no matter who we are playing
I was watchin palace and Watford a couple of weeks ago both of there squads are much stronger than ours they haven't spend massive money just got in proven managers
Unless we change soon we will be going down because as it stands now we have win 2 games to get out of this mess and I can't see who we are going to win 2 games against so it won't be long until we are rooted at the bottom and we will have to win 5/6 games we need to act now

Would you like a big pat on back, and a well done for predicting that our manager is failing??

Or, as I've said now many times, would you like to read my posts and see how I said we deserved to give him time?? I don't want our club to be known as a club that swaps and changes, I would rather a steady ship.

I'm sorry I wasn't one of these so called 'fans' that seemed to love the idea of failure, that almost pray for it, so they can rant and moan.
I'm sorry I was looking for stability, and thought that mindless criticism was not a productive way of going forward.
And I'm sorry that mr Lerner or mr sherwood didn't call and ask you for advice on which striker to buy.

Well done you, a very clever and shrewd man you are.

I'm not saying I wanted sherwood to fail, but at the time when he came we should have went for a experienced manager I like sherwood I want him to do well but I think he should have started in the championship and learned the trade I would say he will be giving a few more games to turn this around I hope he does, if he doesn't learner and Co have get the next manager rite because we do need stability as fans before this club is in championship, every fan on this page has an opinion some wanted sherwood some didn't personally I don't mind who the gaffer is as long as we are competing in games yeah we won't them all

I've never been a fan that thinks we have a God given right to even think we should be winning every game, I understand exactly where we are as a club, and where we should be.

And I to an extent agree with what you say. What gets my back up, what I find offensive is blind ignorance to previous posts.

What I find dangerous is certain fans desire for us to fail, just to get on the players/coaches/managers back, to blame them. To ride them.
Let's pretend that these guys come on here, see these posts.
What on here inspires them to try harder, to improve??
I'm not stupid, I agree these guys are paid hideous wages, but, they are human.

Also, let's also pretend 'targets' that we want do the same, see how we turn on our own, what would inspire them to come??

I'm not blaming, or saying you are saying or doing this, and I apologise if I've offended, just passionate and angry.

Looking at recent news regarding managers employment ending, is it not time that someone at VP grow a pair and really go for a big one?
Out there are several proven ex managers looking in and hoping that a call comes through.
Not just English managers but proven on the pitch.
Timmy claimed a 50% win rate when he joined but that is now about 5%.
Who fell for his limited average when other clubs passed him over?
Sherwood will not save us so do the decent thing a day put him out of his misery and then get a real manager to raise us to respectable levels.

Just as a matter of interest Oldvillan who would that be?
We do need something to happen and happen soon, timing is going to be crucial here, and I for one am not sure when this should happen, or who we should approach.
I am struggling like we all are as to our current plight, but we all know that any changes at management level will not happen until we are more or less dead in the water.
However I think that time will come before the end of November, my reasoning behind this is our run of matches: Chelsea (a) Swansea (h) Southampton (a cup) Tottenham (a) Man City (h) Everton (a)
The way we are playing at the moment I can only see us getting 1point from that lot, to me that will pretty much be dead in the water.
I do like Tim but I am really concerned about the way things are going.
We looked no better than we did under Lambert on Saturday and yet we had to wait until we went a goal down before any creativity was introduced, very questionable tactics to me.

Dave, we cannot do any worse than we are at the moment.
I would take almost any PROVEN manager in the situation we face.
You know where I feel the problem lies and it will take more than Lerner is prepared to give anyone coming in to get real top coach/manager.
I posted earlier that we need a mean manager prepared to rock the boat and upset some people at the top. Pearson is a bully, I don't really like him but his enthusiasm and overall attitude would frighten a few people.
I am not saying we should jump in and open the doors to him.
LFC had already decided that Rogers was going hopefully top brass have been active the same way.
Don't want a budding manager, I want a man manager.
