I am really concerned with Richards. He is frequently AOL when he should be in the middle of the box directing others around him, after all he wears the arm band.
When Defoe scored the third I am sure that Bacuna was the only player in the box. The rest were in the corner. The discipline is awful, chasing the ball and ignoring the man.
Okores sat on the bench and he is our best defender.
When will we get the ball into the opposition box quickly? I am not bothered about how many successful passes we make, most are in the middle of the pitch.
Let's try route one, ball in the box behind there defence.
Pretty ain't going to work so why waste energy and effort.
Has Garde lost it already?
I can't work out what system if any he is playing.
Should we be lucky enough to get a striker, the poor sod will spend 95% hoping he sees the ball.

the hustle and bustle of excitement and nerves rattles through the air like a school about to break up for christmas. as you walk through the corridors people are stretching, exercising, furrowed brows abound cramming for the last time using every emotion to get across their tiny role in supporting her. within her room the buzz that exists outside is drowned out by her almost ecclesiastic serenity. she sits calmly proudly examining every aspect of herself in the mirror, make up is applied seamlessly, no hair is out of place, teeth are bright and shiny, chest is ample and promoted. she says her final prayers, kisses her fingers and touches the photos of her parents which always adorn her dressing mirror. she stands, undertakes her final exercise, one final look in the mirror and proudly she departs the room. elegantly she walks the corridors, cast and crew fall silent and still as she passes by, all look at her but dare not try to hold her gaze, they couldn't as she strides boldly, supreme confidence that borders arrogance, the type all geniuses have. the respect and admire in equal measure. she is why they are there, she is the reason they want to be better, she is what they both dread and expect in equal measure and they don't know quite how to behave. the house lights dim, the stage is lit the most glorious bright, everyone gathered goes silent and still, the excitement in the air is almost touchable. she enters stage left, she walks slightly slower now, less theatrically, allowing everyone to take her all in. she stands at the microphone. she looks down to the pit to signal the conductor that she is ready. she takes a deep deep breath. my friends, the fat lady is about to start singing.
no matter what, they will always be my team - UTV.

I was wondering had Learner sacked Remi already and signed fellow yank Madonna to manage villa till end of the season?! Anything is possible with Learner and Fox! Thanks Brynner69 for some light humour in the dark hours lol.

In the words of Tony Butler "get your prayer mats out".

Well, call me a pessimist, but that was almost certainly the final nail in the coffin for Villa today. Question is realistically what does Garde do now? He's going to have no chance of buying the calibre of players needed for the Prem with us so far adrift of safety. I can only see two options: 1) Get as much of the deadwood, excessive wage earners and players who just aren't up for it out the door as he can. Replace them with players from the academy and get them some real game time and look to rebuild in the summer. Its almost admitting defeat, but would help solidify our future financially and identify a core of players we can build a squad around. OR 2) Make an all or nothing fist of staying up (if RL will provide the funds) by attempting to assemble the ultimate team of on loan mercenaries ever, which would do nothing for the future of the club but might just give us a prayer of staying up and getting that TV money. (Well, I think the point of prayer is long behind us - were more in the territory of sacrificing a goat, or possibly Agbonlahor to Satan) In any case we need to remain behind the players and the manager because getting on their backs won't help at all.

Let's change the set up soon to ensure the current bunch of misfits don't take us to the depths of the old third division, we have been there before with a team not much worse than the current team.
