I tend to agree with Micah Richards who I think is a good signing you just never know with injurys so yes a commanding centre half is a must and with gabby he is a villa boy all the way but I just think he has had is day I would have liked Defoe in January but somebody like that is what we need I for a goal and plenty of pace

Joined Lyon today for up to £2.5M, definitely missed out there, if we'd got him or Trippier in, I'd say we wouldn't need to buy anyone else, maybe hold on till deadline day & grab a bargain

This is my first post but have been on site many times I think this summers dealings have been good and shows the club are moving forward however all these players we are linked with including has beens we now need to buy one or 2 experience players to balance things out what are your thoughts

Welcome aboard mate. I think an experienced centre half would be a good idea.
However, I know this sounds mad what with us seemingly going for Adebayor, but I think we need another pacey forward. In short, a replacement for Gabby; someone who can stretch the defence and gives us something on the counter attack.
Embolo would be my choice
I also think an out and out wide man, for the same reasons

Adebayor passed a medical last week villa in negotiations with spurs over paying his wages. Deal should be concluded by weekend

It does worry me me how we are leaking goals but takes time for a back four to gel so have faith just think we look like we are in a much better situation this time round compared to last year and also feel like other clubs around us haven't done much such as West Ham Everton Sunderland we won't know till January if it is a cb we need I just feel like they need games together and we will be a solid team

Keep reading that gary gardner will be sold, personally i'm not happy about this at all, he's a class player and think he would bring more to the team than any of our current midfielders given the chance, were light in the centre of the park anyway! Really hope he stays, don't know if it is the media stirring it up or that tims not keen, either way it would be bad if he left

I think selling him would be a mistake. He does need game time this season and I'm not sure how much he will get behind the new additions. Another loan move might be an idea and bring him back in January.

Gary Gardner should get a chance will be another G Cahil if we sell, I don't rate Westwood at all as stated midfield too small
