Raoul Cedric Loe - A player that has been linked to us over the past few months would be a player I strongly feel has been looked at by villa. I've been watching La Liga this season and this guy Is a great player with a lot of potential and could be the Benteke of our midfield. A little info on him - He operates as a CDM, and he's very strong box to box midfielder. Tall and very well built and not afraid to get stuck in and bully players off the ball. He's excellent at interceptions and has great control and known to have a good long shot on goal. Also he's very effective in the air for winning balls and at goal and has a very good work rate which would fit into Villa's requirement's. Only thing that he lacks so far is his passing ability but I'm sure Villa would help him improve in that. And he could available for as cheap as £2-3 million so not a big risk. I could see him really bulking up the midfield along with Sylla, Westwood and Delph. Definitely worth the the plunge, Oh and btw - He scored a screamer against Barcelona - No more said ;)

A bit of a yaya toure?

If I was to compare him to someone, then yes I guess he's abit like Yaya Toure and Patrick Viera. I would say the move up for him could definitely bring even more to his game and he could be a top midfielder in years to come.

Sounds a obvious deal needing to be done

Villa have the 3rd worst defence in the premier league, even conceding 9 more goals than the bottom club, pathetic but very funny.

As you know that was because of those 2 games where villa fell apart at xmas

Yep, without conceding as many as the 15 goals in 3 games at xmas we'd be close to -10 GD. Also statistically speaking we're a lot better with vlaar and baker so had them two have been playing together all season our good would be around -7s no doubt. If all the loses by 3, 4, 5 and 8 goals were only 1 or two it would look rosey. Goal difference doesn't bother me anyway. I'd rather lose 8-0 once than 1-0 8 times

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Baker should partner Vlaar I've been saying it since the first game of the season I'd rather Clark player LB or midfield than at CB as every time he does he'll make 2 good clearances and then a stupid mistake which costs the game along with Bennett he's a liability in defense

Clark is better cb than baker, would prefer baker lb and play like ivanovic for Chelsea has done not the quickest but he would be solid lb

I'd rather baker at cb as he has won more battles in the air than most cb's in the prem in terms of stats, he was 5th best in percentage of ariel battles won before the chelsea game. If i'm honest clark wouldn't go near my team. Our avg points with vlaar and baker at cb is 1. 5 but with vlaar and clark its 1. 1. He's also made the 7th highest number of blocked shots on target and has played less games than the 6 above him. He's a better tackler, better header, more lethal in the opposition box and fearless. Not to mention 2 years younger than clark.

Clark is better m8, he's much faster and has mor potential bit of a johnny Evans

Surely the faster of the two should be the left back? Why would you put the slower player who's better in the air against the short quick wingers and the 'faster' one who can't head against the tall slow centre forwards?

Clark was an ever present till we started the winning streak. He was always watching while others were defending. Gave away silly goals, Man City, when he should have cleared the ball over the stand. My old mom would have done better.

Also if you watch every goal conceded from a corner, most of the time its clarks man that scores, and if not, he's stood with nobody around him pointing and telling people to mark!

I think that we have both posted this before. However it is true.

Yeah these are the ones I mean, benteke can't defend so why is he marking their centre back, if you watch them again it may be benteke that gets beat but clark is standing on the 6 yard box marking himself and making others do his job!

Clark is a sh*t CB Baker is better reminds me of a john terry type will put his body on the line for the team Clark won't he'll jump out the way with those quick feet but he'd make a good LB or midfielder

Going back to what I said about avg points with baker and vlaar and avg points with clark and vlaar. Mathematically speaking if we played vlaar and baker for all 38 games this season we'd be on 57 points. Give or take a few here and there for bad days at the office, but with around 57 points we'd be 8th in the table.
