Alex mcleish will prove everyone wrong, villa will have a good first season under him. He has high expectations of himself so do the fans, lets be honest we need him to build a future not a quick fix of crap sinings like martin o'neil made in his time. Only ever 3 good signings after blasting 120Million. Randy will not be as naieve as before looking back now, realising how high the wage packet of these flop signings actually cost him.

Totally agree although i make it 6 quality signings

Friedal, Young, Downing, Collins, Dunne and Milner the rest of them were total sh** and on to much money i can see Collins or Dunne going to i bet there on over 60k a week just like rest of MON's signings

guys im a villa fan through and through but calling for randys head just shows how fickle we are as supporters and to be honest makes us a laughing stock amoungst other teams and is total rubbish since he has been in charge he has provided more than enough money to his managers but m o neil blew 120 mil on utter s h i t but you could all kiss the ground he walks on take a look at some of his transfers they are shocking big ek never said he wouldn't buy he just stated that he would have a good look at the squad before deciding if and where he needs to strenghten

Totally agree personally i don't rate Petrov either and you forgot Sidwell 4.5m sold for 3m and was on 65k a week and he was s**t

Villa will sign another 4 players after we sign N'zogbia/Mcgeady it just won't happen till the end of the window

Davies should have been good. Was in the England squad when he got injured at Arsenal away i believe when we drew 1-1. Had a blinder that day. Never really recovered from that.
Dunne and Collins were awesome first season, dreadful last. Think Houllier has some part in this, but i expect one or both to be better this season. How you can say Warnock was a good buy and these 2 not is beyond me
Cuellar was too much money, but really should be given a go a cb, where i think he has looked good.
Heskey has actually been ok, certainly better than Carew for the last 2 seasons.
Guzan at 1.2 mil for a young international GK is quite a good signing IMO.
Cahill being sold is the single worst thing MON did. FACT Zat Knight wasn't fit to lace his boots, so i also disagree with you saying it was mad to sell him.
Ridgewell was useless, best shot of him as well. Gardner wanted to go the the scum, is a scum fan, so best rid of him as well. I think Sunderland paid to much for him as well.
Mellberg wanted to leave to try his hand in another league and play in the Champs league. No issues with him leaving whatsoever.
In summary then, yes MON bought some shockers, but not as many as you suggested. O'Dreary did the same. Gregory spent 12 mil on Balaban and Stone, money up the wall. Essentially all our recent Managers have.

why would am say he is only signing 2 more players when we need a right back a centre half and a winger. . Doubt he will spend more than 25mill. . Dont belive everything he may just be saying this to take the pressure off the players, he may bring in more players to impress the fans which would be achived with 2 unexpected signings.
