Richards in is a really good statement of intent. Hope there are a few more to follow. Can't be doing with another season of scrapping it out the bottom. I also don't want TS to assemble an old boys club of ex Spurs players.
Enough false dawns in our lives, get the takeover done and let's get our Villa back.

Why are we all so keen to write off Guzan??
Is he not due a chance with a new look back line.
Let's be honest, if not for this man, we would of been relegated at least twice in last three seasons. He has had s**t in front of him, yet consistently preformed well.
Yes he has made a couple of errors, but for the main has been amazing.
Personally I'm not sure there is a better shot stopper in league.
How many goals would we concede with a half decent back line and him in goal??
If had faith in what's in front of him he would go from strength to strength.
We should stand by him, show faith in him, he could be the best in league

I agree with Flackie fully. Guzan has been a beast for us over the past few seasons and apart from the very occasional error, which every keeper has now and again (Courtois getting done by Charlie Adam, Neuer conceding near post in the champions league) has been one of the premier leagues best keepers.
If he can improve his distribution, and gets a number 2 behind him to push him consistently, especially now he is number 1 for his country too, he really could be one of the top few keepers in the league. I certainly wouldn't want him replaced with someone as inexperienced as Butland.

Butland with a run in a side will be in the top 5 keepers in the world within the next 2 seasons belive me. I agree guzan has saved us and does in my eyes deserve a crack with a better back 4. My problem is our manager don't rate him so I'd rather see butland bought than a Brentford keeper or Heaton. Trust me when I say butland would be the way to go. Although I must ad I don't see Stoke selling without a big bid.

I don't argue with you on butland, but with a more trusted back line, I also think Guzan would be.

Villa sign Richards, need REMY now along with a good left back a solid goal keeper and a midfielder that can score 10, 15 goals a season we need the Chinese to step up and give sherwood an open check book and break the bank and hopefully try for a Europa league spot next season so we can keep hold of our good players and stop selling them at on to the top 4 sides, Man City have a laugh Delph is not for sale

The takeover will happen as soon as July 10th. That in mind I'd like us to go for Austin, martiel the young lad at Monaco, remy, and I'd still put a cheeky one in for a tevez or a rvp. Hi wages but not impossible and I here tevez will be available and we have had a brief look.
