I would like to see a hard as nails C/B poss. from the lower divisions who wants to take his chance. don't know who but there are some guys down there who are better than the back 4 that we have.
Given that PL cannot spend much money he could pick up a real C/B for little money.
He has nothing to lose, what is there already is crap so whatever he got would be better.
Bradford worked us over last season and showed us how to defend and attack. Players do come from lower leagues and perform Lambert, Rodrigues etc.
If all else fails I am bringing my old Moms boots with me and she should get a game, then you will see hard as nails. (Not really)

Dave they are there but don't have a pedigree.
I can go beyond the three you name but that is more history.
If PL just went out and looked in Div 1 & 2 he could pick up a bargain and if they don't succeed nothing is lost.
Price would be 250k and the players would be able to say that they played for a prem. team.
No compromise and no prisoners, all or nothing.
Sorry to say that if improvement doesn't come then I will vote with my feet. Not a new action but if 30% of us did the same then Lerner might see for himself how we feel.
30% off the gate money would be quite a large hole in his budget.

Lambert a been doing this since he took over, bringing players from lower division's. Westwood, lowton for example and all we do about that is complain!

Lets be serious here, we all love Villa, we wouldn't be on this site if we didn't. I think we all agree that watching Villa at the moment is not enjoyable. We can pick apart every players problems and I'm sure many of you do. But let's face it, players are directed by a manager and if that manager says we will play the ball back and then hoof it up, they will do. I respect Lambert and what he has done, last seasn he set up a young team you on the counter were destructive. But now teams have worked this out, and it's unbearable to watch at home. Lambert has set the foundations but I feel his time is up. All I want is too watch Villa play football which not only looks good, but actually causes damage. We do havegood players even if they're not recognised as such. Both Westwood and Delph have the capability to be top midfielders. Wiemann is good for his age and I hope that he fulfill his potential. Okore is world class already as is Vlaar. Guzan, although weak on his right side, is one of the best in the league. And we have plenty others as well. Why we bought Kozak I don't know, they guy is Premiership standard, but we have Benteke (or we do for now). We need a change in style of play r at least a plan B. WE NEED SOME CREATIVITY MOST. Money must be spend in January, if Lerner doesn't want banners and protests, he must make a decision this week. Even under Mcleish we had a plan B, it was Heskey but still. If Gardnercan give us creativity, or Albrghton then great, but I don't want to become Stoke and just hoof it up

We need Lerner out, the sooner the better.
Deadly was tight but when the chips were down he prised his purse open and found the money.
Some managers abused this system and we ended up with a few millionaires on the pitch.
But if Lerner wants to avoid the banner wavers he had better dig deep and give PL the chance to prove that he can do the job.

Very true, we need a man who can play a killer ball from midfield, definitely the missing link, we are going nowhere otherwise.
