Wow.looks like Lucas digne could go through in the next day or 2. Another statement of intent! There's a lot of talk of el ghazi going the other way! It would be sad to see him go, although he's never been consistent! I'd much rather get rid of trez, he's been a poor signing in my opinion, always spitting the dummy out!

Being a great few weeks for us, would love to beat West Ham on Sunday, would give my left nut to sign couthinho permanently in the summer, chambers looks like a good acquisition.
We are all quick to criticise when we play badly but boy those last 2 performances have being top notch ?

Whack agree, but most football fans are fickle and like to criticise when things aren't going well its just the way it is. Great performance, i thought Sansom looked good when he came on and not for the first time, Ramsey has not been at his best the last few games and i think he needs to be on the bench to give him a wake up call.

100% agree Scotcaffu - Ramsey has been great, but in patches this year, which is to be expected from a youngster. Ferguson used to be great at giving youngsters a break to keep them hungry and protect them and we're seeing glimpses now of the player Sansom could be, looked really sharp and hungry when he came on so time to give him a go I think.
On another note, tonight was the strongest bench I can remember for years from Villa, genuine options all over.
We're still a work in progress and it's important to not get too high after a bit of good form, just as it is to not get too low after a bit of bad form, but we really should be enjoying how far we've come in three years and how much potential we have now in the squad.
Four quality signings in the summer and we'll be competing for 5th-8th next year.maybe even 4th if a few teams have a mare.

The manager said he wouldn’t buy for the sake of buying! I’m assuming he couldn’t get the targets he wanted. I think that will be the 1st position addressed in the summer

I agree about Watkins, I think his work rate is second to nine, but that doesn’t buy you 20+ goals a season does it!? I don’t realy think ings has done anything wrong, he hasn’t realy had the service, not sure he’ll fit in with Gerrard’s style either, it wouldn’t be an easy task getting him but Dominic Calvert lewynn from the toffees would be great for us!

There’s been talk of Nathan ake, although not sure he’s an upgrade on mings! I did like the look of joe Rodon at spurs but he has featured much this season, I’m sure mourinho signed him,decent CB’S seem hard to come by
