OK Fellow Villains. I think it's worth discussing. Let's have your considered responses to this proposition: "Only an idiot would consider getting rid of Ings". ?

Ings doesn't suit Emery's system, it's not a slight on Ings as a player, he's a fantastic striker if a team plays to his strengths but long term he's not the answer at Villa. If we received a decent offer I'd let him go in the summer, and I suspect the club would think the same.

I agree BK, Ings isn’t suited to how we are playing currently and I would argue wasn’t suited to how Gerrard or Smith wanted to play I think he was signed to cushion the blow of losing Grealish. He is a decent striker and a side that plays to his strengths will get 15 goals plus a season injuries permitting out of him.

If he does go though I might have to change my nom de plume ?
