When you play with high intensity, you can't expect to keep it up for 90 mins every game . So lt didn't come off for us today, certainly not panicking like some on Twitter. Saying 3 at the back won't work, Ramsey just isn't good enough, Hause is rubbish, the mind boggles. Great to see Ollie break his run, Ings not scoring, but his work rate is fantastic. Today everything seemed more rushed, our passing was back to rubbish.
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Some fans just haven’t a clue mate, Ramsey has been one of our best players this season, one bad game and he’s not good enough? Our fan base is pathetic at times.

Agreed disappointing however was a terrible display for the most part the whole team was poor for me wrong choices. Bad passing terrible first touches second to every ball no fight. Let’s hope it’s a one off as next game it’s the dingles!

Most fans do have a clue, today's performance was average at best. Constructive feedback is essential, our midfield was not working along with Ollie and Ings, not a critism fact. Managers are paid to work out what is not working and adapt and make the necessary changes, Deano was far too slow to change things. Overall not a good enough display, we go against the Wolves let's see if Deano is up to making necessary changes.

Nothing about “Ramsey is not good enough” is constructive or even correct, so as I said SOME fans haven’t a clue.

Deano worked out Everton and United, so think he is more than up to the task? Good to see you back on here Scott, been a few weeks, although that’s the pattern isn’t it when the Villa are winning?.

Dave who are these changes, you would make?

Buendia, Nakamba, Tuanzebe to start against Wolves and Hause left wing back, would be my changes. Ings, Ramsey Targett out, purely based on Sundays performance, Deano has to show a ruthless side, long term i think this will improve the poor/ average performances. DaveD sure many won't agree however i am answering your question honestly as I see it.

Hause can't play wing back. May as well have Buendia as a ball playing centre back as well! Hahaha.

Couldn’t see hause being any better than targett at left back, midfield is where our problem was yesterday we need a ball carrier in there to link midfield with the strikers, definitely wouldn’t take ings out, he wasn’t getting the service yesterday but his tracking back was great for a striker he made some very important tackles when we got stretched, I think nakamba should be starting and push maginn further forward or take Doug out and bring in buendia, we really need someone to run with the ball, hope bailey is back soon, he looks like he can solve that issue for us.

Effort was there yesterday, we just lacked quality. Add that to that fact that Tottenham were bang at it and Son was at his best, and losing 2-1 isn’t the end of the world.

Four or five times one of dougie, mcginn or Ramsey found that space between their midfield and defence, and with multiple options they consistently picked the wrong one, or failed to deliver the right one with quality.

We move on, we just came off beating Everton and United, convincingly, you don’t now make wholesale changes after a 2-1 loss away at Tottenham. Citeh lost their first game to Spurs, did they make big changes to line up or tactics for the next game, did they heck. Same with Liverpool, life and death with Brentford, big changes for city? No. We lost to Watford first game, next game Smith made the small changes and got us the win, yet from a small portion he still gets questioned constantly, I can’t understand the mind set. We introduced the wings backs and three centre halves against Chelsea, lost 3-0, imagine if we’d have made the big changes that same section of fans would have wanted? That system got us the wins vs Everton and United.

Couldn’t agree that spurs were bang at it Chris, we made them look good, probably our worst performance of the season so far and so called super 6 spurs could only beat us by a goal, they knocked the ball around well cause we let them, we gave them space and didn’t mark our men, son on the other hand was a master class, he’s the only reason they beat us, Kane wasn’t at the races, his best chance was from his own half, says it all, spurs are dirt, we just had a bad game, can happen any team, something needed changing at half time, I don’t know what but I’m not the one getting paid millions to figure it out, my only gripe is that smith took to long to change things around, for me the jury is still out on this formation, it don’t get us much goals, we changed formation in the Everton game when bailey came on, got our goals then changed back when he got injured and young came on. really hoping that buendia is going to start performing cause up to this point he looks 20 million over spent.

Hmmm good point re Kane, fella can’t find his feet at the minute. I still think Spurs were pretty good to be honest, as I said I think our effort was there, just no quality, and that’s the reason they played around us. There right back was another one who was at it.

But losing 2-1 to Spurs, away, no matter the performance of either side, and being disappointed, is a huge sign of how far we’ve come under Smith.

That’s true, expectations have risen considerably this past 2 seasons, 6 points from Everton united and Spurs is not a bad haul to be fair?.

Agreed mate? Fingers crossed Sanson and Bailey back for the Dingles, gives us more options.
