RIP Jimmy Greaves. A legend and unfortunate not to be in the World Cup winning team of '66.
Remember his Saturday lunchtime football show with Ian St John, Saint and Greavsie.
Also his cameo role on Central sport as a foil to Newbon.
He coined the phrase "Deadly" Doug.

I remember my first Villa game, I was 10 and my brother who was 14 took me to see Villa ply Spurs at VP.
We lost 4 - 2 and Greavesie got 2 and I thought he was the greatest and I always had a soft spot for him.
Superb footballer and no one can ever replace Saint and Greavsie.

Trinity, a striker from my error as I was 16 when we won the World Cup.
Many at the time felt Greavesy should have been playing after recovering from injury but Sir Alf felt differently and did it his way.
