Definately been fingered on the price for watkins but if he scores 15+ We will all be regarding it as a steal big pressure on the lad now though. Personally i don't think its going to workout for him if he signs let's hope i'm wrong 😅.

NV, Can I ask you why you think it will not work out for him?
You don`t know the line up, you don`t know the formation, you don`t` know who else is coming to VP.
In fact I can`t see what you are basing your assumptions on.
I am guessing its because he has no premiership experience, "correct"

I don't know dave you are correct in that i'm just not confident, all of his goals seem to come from 2 yard tap ins, unopposed headers or goalkeeper errors i hope the lad can make the step up but the competition is so much better class i have an itch that he might struggle but who knows he might fit in nicely and il support him no matter what. He needs to sign first 😆.

Goals scored like that don`t just happen NV, you have to read the game, and be in the right place at the right time, its not easy.
He is not any of those I know, but he could be exactly what we want.

Post lockdown, we had sitters missed by Trezeguet (would have beat Newcastle), Jota (to snatch a point off Chelsea), El Ghazi for 2-0 at Everton, and Davis to make it safe vs Arsenal. Those were the BIG chances. There were also several opportunities for Davis, and then Samatta against Sheff Utd. A player like Watkins in the side scores all of those big chances, and probably a couple in the Sheff Utd game. 7 points. And none of us are having a cardiac on the last day!

We needed a lethal finisher to turn all those chances Jack creates into a far higher assist tally. I honestly believe we’ve got the right man.

100% agree ant, so many times the ball is pinging around in the box with no end product, he’ll be the man to tuck them away I’m betting, he can score with his head also, we don’t get enough return for all the corners we win, 2 many times there’s nobody there for the rebound from the likes of super John when he has a pop from outside the box, I’m getting excited now for the new season I think the energy he’s going to bring to the dressing room and the pitch is going to make a huge difference, I wonder what number he will wear, any ideas boys?
