We have had nearly 24 hours to take a good hard look and reflect on what the future may hold.
Yesterday was in most people's eyes a free hit, we played one of the best teams in the world accepted. However it was the manner of the defeat that is causing so many on social media ranting for change. Every team has played man city now, I can't recall any other team getting the mauling we witnessed yesterday. So why were we different to others. Why because We have a mixture of absolutely useless players that wouldn't get in championship sides (Hogan proved this point) . We have average players that might hold their own in mid championship sides. We have decent players that might get bench time in average premier sides and the small remaining few that deserve starts in a good percentage of premier teams. So if you throw all the categories in the mix you get a relegation team. If anyone disputes any of this take a look at the league table. So is there anything that can be done to a basket case. I think there is a slim chance but let's think what we measures can be taken.
Buy two proven forwards, not easy I accept but this is the first measure. Second get rid of the dross that is, Taylor, Elmo, Hourihane Kodja. Third stick with Freddie, Konsa, Ming's Engels Hause Luiz Jack, Targett Trezz Drinkwater marvelous and Elghazi. Stop changing the formation and get these core of players running through brick walls for the cause ( just like Watford) . This still might not be enough but we definitely have to put more effort and fight in to trying to stay in the premier league. Two good results and performances against Brighton and Watford might and it's a big might, may just stem the toxic negatively around the club at the moment. So Deano it's starts with you, get the players and fans behind you and let's fight for the future, the alternative is Wigan, small heath, Stoke, Luton and potentially years in the wilderness.

This year is all about staying up, then we trim the fat in the summer - The majority of our squad will be gone or subs this time next year if we can stay up! Unfortunately this is a massive if now, I'm genuinely worried, Saturday is absolutely MASSIVE!

Said from the heart Scotty.
I must admit I am a little concerned now mate, especially with the team selection, and the changes that could be made during a game.
The problem I am have is, when changes are made it is like for like, and more often than not it is too late.
Yesterday for example the game was lost well before half time, so try something different, stick Vassilev high up, give him a free roll and let him have a go, he is a good player in the making, but needs the ball.

Have to agree Dave we were well beaten by half time all Deano had to do was make a couple of subs and try something different as I said yesterday he got the team selection completely wrong but everyone learns from their mistakes and hopefully he has learned that Elno Taylor and Elgahzi are subs at best. Drinkwater should not have started he should have been given the last 20 mins. To be honest all their heads dropped after the 2nd went in but eh oh I'm going to do a Bruce and say"We dust ourselfs down and go again"

Dave Deano had the perfect opportunity to give vassilev a second half run, probably trying to protect him. Throw him in the deep end nothing better to see if he can swim. What worries me most is that even the ardent fans on here seem to be resigned to a disappointing end. Many saw the future before it got to this stage, not through spite but because we watch lots of football and could see the writing on the wall very early, just a pity Deano didn't.

Yeah we go again Daz, soldier on mate.

Scotty, I don`t want to sound a bigot, but I did not see the standard of football we are producing ever being turned out by a Dean Smith side, especially after our encouraging start to the season.
I watch football every day of the week mate, watching Southampton against Leicester 0 - 9 and then they lost 3 - 1 to Man city a few days later, the best pundits in the world would certainly not have seen their upturn in fortunes coming, I certainly didn`t.
So watching lots of football, will not give you any insight into what is about to come.
Fortunes can change very quickly in this great game of ours.

I think many people were concerned when we started the season with no proven goalscorer. In the past we had gabby as backup who we at least knew would offer something, and would maybe score if we were lucky. But he knew the prem.
Most wanted Wesley to succeed because we needed him to; and there lies the issue. He had no chanced to become acclimatised to the prem alongside a more experienced person whom he could push.
For me 3 signings were non-essential and borderline unnecessary. Either douglas/ nakamba, Jota and Hause.
I'd have much rather signed another striker in the place of those 4 if i'm honest. We are a defensive heavy squad that can't defend. Amazing.

Connor houraine is crap Scot I agree he needs to go, I didn’t even notice him yesterday till the sub board went up! As for Taylor and Elmo I might start booing them that’s how much hate I have for those 2! Where have all the people gone who want to give nylan a chance he is crap! Had one decent game and most of you think he is class.
