So Micah Richards has announced his retirement, I thought he retired in 2016?
If it's down to injury, why didn't the club retire him earlier and claim on the insurance?

Agree it does seem a bit odd. apparently his knee was so bad that he could barely train for the last few seasons. would've thought they'd have come to some agreement to take early retirement if it was so bad. from his point of view though I can see why he dragged it out. no wonder he said 'the club looked after me' in his retirement interview!

In other news, looks like Mitch Clark has been signed up by Leicester. Always thought he looked decent. hope for his sake it works out but will be a bit annoying if this turns out like Cahill did!
