Looks like the move for Bade is well and truly dead in the water he doesn't want to move. Time to look at alternatives methinks.

I hope we’ve been looking at alternatives throughout the window. This one stings a little bit especially as we’ve let Carlos leave before having concrete replacement set.

We will have been looking at options I’m sure, one mentioned is Tomori from Milan but I’m sure others will be in the mix. If we don’t sign anyone we can always play Kamara at centre back he has played there before.

I seen rumours about Juan Foyth circulating, can’t say I’m overly impressed. Monchi has lots to do to live up to the hype around his appointment, big money spent and the squad is still pretty thin

I think that’s a bit unfair Whack, if you consider what the squad was like pre Emery to what it is now I think the squad is much stronger, also Monchi and the club are hamstrung by PSR, clubs like Tottenham and West Ham have income streams much larger than ours but their squads I would argue are no better than ours probably worse.

I also think monchi hasn't done good job aswell the biddace deal was pointless last season also the 2lads in the dougie deal was clueless, nedelkovic hasn't worked out aswell out of 10 i'd give monchi a 5, he hasn't found us any bargain players around the world

I have to say, if Monchi was involved in brining in Philogene it a very poor piece of business.
I know we made a profit on him but that cannot have been at the forefront of Monchi’s or Emery’s thinking.
Luiz was PSR driven, nothing more, nothing less.

At the end of the day AVFC is a business, we gave Philogene an opportunity based on his performances in the Championship it hasn’t worked out and we have sold him for a profit of circa £7 million to me that’s sensible business. I would be surprised if the club hasn’t got a list of targets covering each position I can’t see us putting all our eggs in one basket ie Bade.

Lotm, I’m not talking about pre Emery I’m talking about Monchi, where is all this Spanish talent that he’s such an expert on? Lange had the Duran deal pretty much done before he left he had all the ground work done on it, Rogers is the only really successful one of Monchi to date. Foyth is a RB that a few years ago Emery used as a CB from time to time, maybe the Foyth deal is speculation and we are more favouring Tomori which I hope we are. I duno mate there’s parts of our squad need shoring up and as yet he hasn’t really done anything spectacular for me

LOTM, Monchi wasn't at the club when we signed Duran and if memory serves, it was widely regarded that Duran signing wasn't of Emery's doing either and had been arranged before he joined.
