BBC Sports reporting that Newcastle 'loadsa money' United have made contact with Coutinho in a bid to sign him on a permanent deal from Barcelona. Meanwhile The Hammers are after Ollie which, if true, gives us the additional challenge of replacing already-proven players rather than simply trying to strengthen what we've already got

IWatkins is a bit of an enigma, for me works hard runs the channels well, but his first touch isn’t always great he gets bullied a bit by the best central defenders and doesn’t score enough so if someone came in with a £50 million plus bid for him I might be tempted to let him go.

With Coutinho I think it comes down to price if we can get him for £20 million then I would take him but not at £30 million plus particularly now Buendia seems to be finding his feet
