Rumour mill this morning suggesting we are plotting a move for Kalvin Phillips

I would prefer Philips, I would go all out to get him if there was a chance. we are 2 or 3 players away from being at the same level as West Ham, it’s not impossible to get there we just need the right players in the summer, we are a much better team than West Ham were 3 seasons back but the recruited really well, some players that we were heavily linked with from the championship, Bowen and benrahma I think we missed a trick there, I think Philips could be our rice, we need better cover for the wing backs I can’t understand why we let target go just as we got some depth in that area, players I’d like to buy and have a realist chance of signing, Philips, winjaldum, Dennis and sarr from Watford, rashford, Walker peters, bissouma. sell luiz, Bert, sanson, Bailey, Davis, Keep archer for the bench and maybe brad young, I’m assuming Ramsey will keep improving he’s got potential and of coarse I’d try make coutinho permanent

Some good picks Whack, for me I would look to get Bissouma, or Ndidi,for the holding midfielder role, Raphina or Sarr, for out wide, Shick or Gouiri as an additional striker and Hickey to replace Targett. The one position I don’t think an outstanding candidate is available is a beast of a centre half as I am not really sure about Gomez since his injury although I know one of the Ed’s is very complimentary about him.
In terms of departures I would be shipping out Steer, Hause, Targett, Trez, AEG, Hourihane, Wesley, Ings (reluctantly) Davis, and Traore, I would keep Bailey because I think he needs to be given time. With Archer I am torn between keeping him as a bench warmer or giving him a full season in the championship.

As I said in the first 2 lines of the post “if there was a chance of getting him” but your spot on I did say that and I don’t think it’s likely, I hadn’t foreseen Leeds capitulation though I’m really surprised how their season has unfolded and I think with bielse gone there is every chance raphinha and Philips will be on their bike.
lord I wouldn’t mind bissouma but I think ndidi is gone off the boil, Brighton and leister seasons not going to great even with those guys in the team, 1 thing I know for sure is that 1 player won’t transform us it’s going to take 3 or 4 more quality players, I agree bissoma could be 1 of them ?
