There is a rumour circulating that we are still interested in Marc Roca from Espanyol, though I struggle to see how we accommodate another central midfielder, especially now we've signed Barkley 🤔.

Yeah I have seen this more than once MD, I think the only thing behind it, might have something to do with the interest being shown in Nakamba.
If that happens we will need cover, so maybe we are in fact thinking of moving Marvelous out.

Would you let Nakamba go Dave? I like him, he’s always give it his all and I think he could develop into a realy good player, not sure I’d let him go! There’s definitely others I’d like to see go before him mate.

81 Nakamba is very good at breaking play up and has energy I'll give him that and can obviously do a job winning the ball but, to me anyway, he's so predominantly left footed that he has to turn full circle to get to release the ball if it's on his weaker side. It happens so slowly its almost like watching an oil tanker turn and is a weakness that can be exploited, hence why he loses the ball as much as he wins it.

I get your point Moose, I spend hours with my Son and Son in law talking about left or right footed players.
That affects a lot of players, when I played we were trained on both feet, and the best team I ever played for, every player including the keeper could use both feet.
Even Jack is week on his left foot, Traore his right, Luiz his left, the list goes on and on.

I think for now he's adequate cover and maybe Shakespeare can coach him to improve Dave, but hopefully, as we get better and better a higher quality of DM will be brought in or develop in the youth ranks. However our centre half, left back and striker cover is thin to say the least and should be a priority if we have the funds. Hoping that adding Barkley to Luiz and McGinn in the middle of the park may give Targett some better cover, oh and he stops ball watching instead of keeping an eye on his man.
