Hope I am wrong but my gut feeling is the sale of Jack is financing the latest three reported signings from Arsenal, Leon, Weder bremen, I think the friendly against man u yesterday was part of any deal, again hope I am a million miles off the mark, but the money has to come from somewhere, just ask the eds.

{Ed002's Note - The money can potentially come from selling him at the end of the season - but it does have to come from somewhere.}

Last year it was tv money according to pursey purslow. whos to say we aren’t dipping into to that again the owners seem to be prepared to spend to get somewhere and make profit later when were in the champions league every year 😂 jacky isn't going anywhere soon 👊🏻.

Utd won’t stump up the cash for jack, after buying donny, they have pogba Bruno and greenwood, jack not stupid he won’t go somewhere to warm the bench he can’t get picked ahead of greenwood for England, if he moves I don’t think it will b to United.

Crossed my mind, scotcaffu.

The only thing making me feel otherwise is no midfield signings (so far) by Villa.

United seem worried. Raised expectations with the Sancho saga and need to save face. Mind you, £80M in the current climate is a lot to stump up for a single player.

I am surprised we have potentially spent what we have, but assume it is due to the easing off on FFP rules with the two year assessment that has led to us being so heavily active.

If I was being devil’s advocate, I suppose United could be offering a midfielder plus cash for Jackie boy. Would be very upset if the clown boy, Lingard, was part of any deal.

AJ I think Utd might go for Jack if the Sancho deal falls through. If that does happen then as I have said previously we need to take a leaf out of the Brentford book and play hard ball over the fee, so for me the only Utd player that I would accept, guy y and they are likely to release is Tuanzebe I would then try to secure someone like Barkley, Loftus Cheek, or Sigurdsson as a replacement or maybe even two of the above. The other thing is if we get to the last week of the window and nothing has happened then whether Utd offer us what we want they need to be told to bugger off because it won’t give us enough time to sort out replacements and integrate them into the first team squad. Interesting times!
