Phew.

Frederic Guilbert has dismissed speculation about his future by stating on Instagram 'I love this club', and 'I'm very happy here'.

Wow, fair play to Freddie.
I wonder if that means Matty might be in line to play a more offensive role.

It’s good news, we need 2 players in every position fighting for the shirt.
Sorry, but ELMO - it’s time to go, we need to release these fringe players to allow a few more quality signing in.

I’d keep Taylor unless we sign someone to push Targett. Otherwise he’s an acceptable backup and it doesn’t look likely we’ll go for another left back whilst concentrating on other, more important positions.

Dean isn’t so foolish to wreck morale with a ‘bomb squad’ a la Paul Lambert. but it seems a number of players just aren’t going to feature at all. Hogan, Lansbury, Jota and Kalinic need to find new clubs. Nyland I think will see out his deal as fourth choice, personally.

El Ghazi is an interesting one. it might be that some competition for places (King, Benrahma? ) means he pushes on and actually reaches his potential. If he doesn’t get better, sell him in January.

Hause won’t be sold. The manager prefers him to Engels, and will keep a left-footed back up CB for Mings. He also did ok after the restart, aside from the Sheff Utd game.

Yeah the players I listed I don’t think many of them will play well I really hope Especially el gazi, wasn’t good at championship level maybe league one will suit him more.

Linked again with Rashica and it looking likely that he may come if we can entice him wages won’t be an issue, just whether the player sees himself at the club?

Ed how about Brewster, any news on that? As I would prefer him to Wilson.

{Ed002's Note - Rashica want to be playing at a higher level but will leave Werder Bremen. It will be tough to persuade him to make the move unless there are no other options. Liverpool are aware that Brewster is a way to raise money and, a great pity in my view, may be open to selling him. There is a great deal of interest in him.}
