Newspapers report Aston Villa willing to sell Super John Mcginn for 50 million. If that's true then we would need to buy 2 top players with the money. Its obvious to everybody Mcginn an grelish are to good for Villa and should be in a Champions League team rather than fighting relegation.

That should make your day then, you seem to think he and Grealish are too good for us, and the rest of the team ain`t good enough.
Wonderful.

Well that's bang on take them out of our team an the rest is crap. If we want to keep our best players stop money balling and buy good players keep hearing how rich these owners are then why do we have this crap team bar these 2 that lose almost everyweek? Your in the prem you are a massive club with a huge fan base buy top players. Oh an it can be done look at chelsea an man city they was crap then the new owners came it an brought top top players!

We used a money ball method 4 years ago, under a different manager, different board and different owner, we haven’t used it since, keep up walkies.

Worth pointing out aswell that out of the 6 players that were signed using the stats based plan, 2 play in the champions league for top clubs, 1 plays Europa and one is a premier league regular having a brilliant season.

But we need to stay up now chris. Facts are we brought young players with potenial so we can sell them on an the club can run itself which is fine the aims to improve players an sell for big money. that's money balling chris our owners even done a youtube video saying they was going to do it an its good if done right. We need good players now man city owners an chelsea owner didn't do this they were loaded an proved it by buying top players srraight away not like fulham b4 you start iam on about big players.

{Ed001's Note - that is nothing to do with 'Moneyball'. You are using the term completely incorrectly. Brentford are an example of an attempt to use 'Moneyball' in football, and it is nothing to do with selling on players, that is a side effect.}

I think your miss understanding the “moneyball” system to start with and our transfer strategy. Watch the film, (named handily ‘moneyball’) it has nothing to do with the sale of players. We had a clear transfer strategy in the summer, and that was nothing to do with the sale of player, seen in ya not selling Grealish. We brought young players hoping they will develop together at the same time over a number of seasons. Look at Bournemouth first team, some of them have been there since the championship, with good coaching and cohesion look at what they have become.

{Ed001's Note - exactly chris, Moneyball is nothing to do with selling, it is all about using stats to find undervalued players. Glad to see someone else understands it.}
