I can confirm that Sturridge has held talks with Villa via his cousin who I know from Tile Cross nothing concrete in signing but has definitely had talks. For me personally I'd take him as he's a free agent and sign him on a 1 year contract.

Question: If Sturridge has a valuable dog in LA (the one that recently went awol) doesn’t that suggest he spends more time in the US than over here?

Just the balance of probability.

Average age of players brought in is 23, Sturridge is 30 this season.
His banned for six weeks, huge injury concerns, hasn’t performed well for a good 4 seasons.
Purslow consistently speaks about the model of young hungry players, reliable, resale value, all traits Sturridge doesn’t have.

Add to all that the last thing you told us was Henry was buying a house in the area and was manager, I feel fairly confident in saying that’s BS, imo either your lying or someone’s lying to you.

Just my opinion based on some facts, I suppose we’ll see by the end of the window.

{Ed001's Note - he is banned for 2 weeks, 4 weeks were suspended.}

Is that from season starting Ed? Or from the date of the sentencing?

{Ed001's Note - date of sentencing. He can play next month.}

The FA really are toothless.

{Ed001's Note - why are the FA toothless? Most of the accusations they made were thrown out. They wanted a 6 month ban. It was not the FA's decision. Sturridge never gambles. The issue was whether or not he told his family to bet on something or whether they chose to off their own back. Either way, it is a bit of a difficult one, Sturridge is well known to be a clean living lad, who spent a lot of time helping out with the youth teams while injured. He doesn't drink, smoke or gamble, the issue was that members of his family did after he told them about potential transfers. You can't really expect someone not to discuss their future with their family, so how do you prove whether or not he was instructing his family to make money, as the FA claimed, or if they just decided to take advantage of the knowledge?}

I suppose it’s a fine line to tread, the people around him aren’t going to be in a similar financial situation to him so if they hear something they can profit off, naturally they’d be tempted to go for it. But surely you show more loyalty to Sturridge as a brother/ cousin/ son. And if it is proven, who takes the punishment?

{Ed001's Note - Sturridge is the one who gets punished as it is not illegal for them to gamble, just illegal for him to tell them to.}

Chris forgive me if I'm wrong but this is a rumours site. As far as I'm aware no bets was placed by his cousin on this as he said it was only talks and nothing more. I'm not a liar Chris i'm a 50 year old man lying is not in my nature.

Surely you don’t get a six week ban if you simply tell someone your moving clubs? How would the FA know or prove that he told someone that info? There has to be some evidence.

Not saying you are a liar but someone is clearly telling porkies somewhere or else our manager would be speaking french.
