Heres a question is this new team we're putting together better than last seasons, i really hope we don't do a fulham, but we still need cdm, winger n a striker.

Difference is Fulham signed a load of randoms no ones heard off, all these players dean smith has worked with (so far) other than Wesley, the scouts watched trezeguet over AFCON and dean smith himself went over, so knows what he’s getting. Then you look at the players we’re linked with to follow, Phillips played against him twice last year and would have seen him play 5+ times live between all the coaching staff, Heaton, was interested in jan and tracked him from there. I think there's a clear plan, the average age of players we let go was like 31, the average age of players brought in so far is just under 23.

I think it's a fair question asked by Villa4eva.
Like most of us, I'm really excited by all the new signings and looking forward to being back in the prem. but there is a nagging doubt that we haven't really signed many players that I could say, without doubt, are prem standard. Almost all have the potential to be (in my view) but potential has to be realised. Even McGinn could get found out in the prem, we just don't know. all we can do is enjoy the ride, encourage the team and hope they do well.
