Terry 3/ 1 favourite at the moment,
But I thought he took the u21 manager job at Chelsea?
Or has he changed his mind!

This is a real opportunity for the owners to make a statement. No point me suggesting the likes of Henry, terry or Rogers as they are obvious candidates. The likes of zidane have bigger fish to fry (for now) . But how about Martinez from Belgium. I know you are all thinking ‘yea right - from the number 1 ranked nation to club in championship’ but I think we have a right to aim for the best - we have financial clout now - could Martinez fancy club management again? if not him, then I think Benitez would jump - he has been let down by mike Ashley, Newcastle could be coming down - he’d have money to spend at villa and has been promoted from the division. I know these two are ‘outside the box’ but I’d love either. As I’m about to press ‘post’ I’m just debating whether to just delete this post as I know people on here will just criticise me - sad hey.

Not me woodsy
I think that’s a good shout mate, and why not go for high profile.
They can only say one of two things mate, yay or ney.

{Ed025's Note - sam allardyce is looking for work..

Martinez will not leave Belgium.
Wouldn’t want him anyway, he’s not that good a manager in all honesty.

And before anyone says look at what he has done with Belgium then I’m not being funny but most average managers blessed with the squad Belgium have would do the same.

Not Rogers for me. He’s only started bleeting at Celtic ‘cos they’ve now got some competition and he can’t win just by turning up. Martinez is a great shout but can’t see that happening. Fonseca of Shaktar looks in the running.
Please not Moyes, Allardyce etc. old school.

other than moyes, pearson (one club wonders), the likes of allardyce and macarthay, who have both had enough clubs to fill a golf bag i wouldn't be at surprised with some surprise choice, there's a few interesting names getting bandied around such as fonseca, at donetsk, the mixico national manager who got them to the world cup has its reported said he'd love to even be considered after that you have carvahal e. t. c me? i'd go for dean smith.

pardew, allardyce, moyes, terry, henri, some of these have enough clubs to fill a golf bag and none of them are renowned for producing sides who play fast flowing football and as managers, none of them has won anything.
