Whether Randy Lerner completes the sale of the club or if he intends to retake the reins himself, one thing still remains certain and that is that the club now needs to show their intentions over the next few weeks by the way of massive investment in new players. A quality strike force is definitely now needed unless we are to suffer the humiliation of another goal drought as we witnessed last season and I’m not talking about end of career strikers. We will find out for sure before the start of the new season just by what players we have bought whether or not we are genuinely moving forward or if we are all going to be condemned to watching second rate football for another season followed by the all too familiar relegation battle. It’s time now to do the right thing for the club whoever may be in charge so let’s see the colour of your money and put back the long awaited smiles on the oh so many loyal fans who have stood firmly by the club through these torrid years and unlike many of the players us Villa fans are here long term.

Well it looks like Sherwood's gone if this is true because there is no way Lerner would give the entire 40m

He won't get all of it because of sell on fees to both Leeds and genk

do you mean 40 mill of delph and benteke sale?? well sure that won't happen as we have to pay 3.5 to genk from the benteke sale half .5 mill to leeds for delph don't we??

{Ed001's Note - under the new transfer rules, the team/s who developed a player during his youth will get 5% of any future transfer fees, as well as any sell on clauses they are entitled to.}

I've supported this great club for about 45

years, I've seen good times and bad times

ranging from the humiliation of seeing us

having to play in the 3rd tier of football to

the heights of seeing us raise the European Cup

but of late it's beginning to become evermore

difficult for even myself to keep the faith,

every piece of good news seems to be followed

by twice as much bad news. It's time someone

started to get a grip of this football club and

move it forward or I'm afraid to say the club

will very soon become doomed to a point where

it would take many years to put right.

Heard that rumour also that TS will leave if the money doesn't get re-invested and who would blame him to be honest,he came here although I was sceptical that something wasn't right at Spurs because he left with the best win/loss ratio for many year there,but I'm wrong he is young,energetic,looks good man manager of individuals,showed Ben the love he craved which turned our fortunes last season in fact the whole squad,with all this crap who knows what to expect anymore. dammm hope not about this rumour
