I'm sure like me many will have watched a number of games today, in particular Sunderland's performance at Chelsea and Brentford's display against Liverpool. What impressed me most was the central defensive qualities from both teams. Most were new names to me. They all had pace a will to win the ball and how well they all read the game. So there are great unknown defenders out there. And yet we have not found a left sided defender with the necessary qualities required at this level. Take the two goals we conceded against a very poor attacking side on Thursday. Obviously there has been plenty of debate between Mings and Torres, neither are the answer to our defensive fragility and never will be. We have had plenty of time and money to address the issue and yet nothing has been done. This will always be our achilles heel and will continue to hold us back and the reason we will always concede goals. Liverpool looked vulnerable tonight and Brentford didn't let them settle on the ball, they played with pace and excellent ball control something lacking with us. Liverpool have lost the last four premier league games and we are up next, I hope, but am extremely doubtful that we will continue their poor run with our slow ineffective style with poor defending.

Yet again Scott Villa lose a match and you post more times than when we win.Question why do you support Villa?

Daz I post all the time and my last post was highlighting the glaring weakness in our left central defenders, something that needs addressing.What a ridiculous statement why do I support Villa, if I didn't care I wouldn't be bothered to spend so much time following my club which I have done for over 60 years travelling all over Europe.

What I really can't understand is why my honest views and observations aren't acceptable to you. Perhaps every post should be positive without any negative comments, if that is what you want I will continue to follow my team everywhere and stop posting on here. I like the balanced views on here and will continue to read them daily as I do. Say the word Daz if my posts upset you so much tell me and I will move on.

It's about being consistent I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed about posting when we are losing and lack of posting when we are winning.You post negative comments when we win also I just don't get it.Have you not had the best time in the last 3 years than we have in the previous 10?

And for the record it don't upset me it agitates me posting constant negative words we are 5 points off 4th without hardly spending a bloody dime why can't you see that what Emery has done is nothing short of a bloody miracle?
