I’m not defending Monchi by any stretch but it absolutely baffles me how Emery gets away with any blame when it comes to recruitment.

When the going was good and he was linked with Man Utd I used to read posts off many people saying “why would Emery leave when he has total control at Villa and has final say on everything”.
Now the going is tough the excuse now is “Monchi is a waste of time, it’s all PSRs fault”

I’m watching a £30m player in that Guessand who’s clearly not up to it run round yet we’ve got the nerve to blame PSR.

We’ve spent horrendously at times and we threw all our eggs in the champions league basket last season and it’s not come off and unfortunately Emery has total control take a big chunk of responsibility. I’m not saying sack him and he deserves time to get it right again but he’s had plenty resources made available and for me he’s got it wrong more than right. In 3 players (Onana, Maatsen and Guessand) that's £120m he’s spent on players that aren’t in our best 11.

Forget PSR a moment he’s wasted a lot of cash
