so papers been linking steve bruce to aston villa i no steve well and he would consider it but villa fans is he a blue nose eg like mclish? and also would anybody take gary rowert he's a villa fan but is managing birmingham 1 fings for sure both are good managers.

Mike, I read some things you say and some times you talk half sense, but other times it's like your on a different planet!
No thanks to either, and I disagree, Bruce is a nice guy, but potato head is not, and never has been a good manager.
And if rowet is a villa fan, good on him, but, in my opinion, now he has an affiliation with the noses, he has burt any bridge to be at villa.

fairplay mate i was just responding to the rumours and just wondering what people thought but 1 thing is for sure whoever takes the seat at vp has there work cut out its becoming a managerial graveyard. Doug ellis owned birmingham city so did that make him a blue nose? garry rowett is a gud manager an steve has gone down yes but he's also gone up nigel pearson is a good manager to i say sack garde now and go and get somebody who we can belive in! remi garde is the worst manager to ever be at the football club reasons from 1st min to 90th min he just sits there he doesn't encourage his players offer any advice and after the game he doesn't even go in the dressing room i don't feel sorry for this guy 1 bit yes it's a bad situation but just watching him doesn't inspire me with Confidence! Our team is better than Watford norwich sunderland bournmouth! and one more point he doesn't even take training if you look at Jurgen Klopp and other managers they all take training so if this guy doesn't take training and he doesn't offer encouragement during the game what is he actually doing apart from picking the team badly? I will be there again next season because I'm Villa Till I Die but things have to change sooner rather than later as this is heartbreaking the manager lacks passion so does the team we need to work as a family Club again!

It's not a case of who we would like, more a case of who will take the poison chalice.
Unless I am confused we still have an idiot of an owner who has consistently failed to support his managers hence the current position.
Don't blame the managers as it is painfully obvious that Lerner has never kept his word about funding. Garde was sold a duff deal and believed it. Lerner pulled up the plank before Garde was even on board.
With the current position no one in their right mind is going to pay more than £100m but Lerner wants 200m.
I wonder how much it has cost to get rid of the mangers that failed because they were not supported?
Probably enough to buy a real player!

Steve Bruce! Knowing our board we could end up with Fiona or Forsyth!

Here's hoping for a Brucey bonus. nice to see you to see you .

{Ed003's Note - Nice.}

Amay be we'll get a 'good game, good game' for a change.

I hear from journalists and apparent "insiders"that the yank and his cronies are now looking at offering the job to sylvan petrov, i know he is involved with u19s but is it me or does this latest idea (if true) is a bit cynical, any opinions?

As a player Stan was a good servant and great player, but that is where it ends for me mate.
We need to be spot on with our next appointment and that is way off the mark.

07 Mar 2016 20:16:10
Director of football for Stan
Along with Ian Taylor
The next appointment is crucial
All names will be linked
Pullis will be a free agent in the summer safety almost certain under him but we all know an Albion fan who says they won't renew there tickets as the football is so bad
Until the last 3 games where he has played a striker
Horrible thought though
will Aston Villa be a desirable job under the present regime

I posted before that Learner is well pived at what has happened and will bank roll the club again
But
He must have promised Remi some money in the January window and went back on his word
Will mangers bear this in mind when approached by the club
If the rumour is true Moyes turned us down as he couldn't have the final say on transfers.

I agree Dave.
Sadly sentiment has no place at min.

{Ed025's Note - the problem flackie as i see it is what calibre of manager can you attract?...facing almost certain relegation with a squad that many feel is not even good enough for the championship, and an owner who is not prepared to release funds for transfers, not exactly lucrative for a decent manager and a possible banana skin for an up and coming one, im not having a go at villa here mate as i see them as a great club with a solid fan base and fantastic history, im just pointing out that a big name will be very hard to attract..

I still think we should be paving the way for Moyes.
Give him the contract, give him the funds, give him the support, and above all give him the time.
He would sit well at Villa Park.
Whoever we get is not going to please everyone, but I think most would be happy with him.

{Ed025's Note - he would be good dave, but i expect he will get better offers mate..

You know what ED your completely right, It does not matter who we say/ who we would like, What manager in the world wants to work for us to be openly abused by the players because the b******* didn't get a little warmer 4 day break in the sunshine for Winning a game against a poor Norwich when in my opinion but for there poor finishing we would of lost, we was abysmal but a couple of lucky breaks, then following week rumour has it they deliberately didn't try vs LFC and trying to ruin Garde's reputation and to top it off players openly taking the p*** out of us loyal fans who pay hard earned cash every week to watch a pile of s*** via social network it's disgusting and I would fine them 3/ 4 wages for the season apart from Gana, Ayew, Sissoko, Amavi. Owner, club runners in disarray, can you buy YOUR own players, can you install your philophosy' and turn a massive club around and gain a bit of respect once again, Any manager will be brave to take job on, but let's not go back down that road again and hire any current blue thing, or ex blue thing, that's a NO, NO.

{Ed025's Note - its a tough one jayz, an ex-player who knows the club and the fans would be a good shout, a peter withe or similar..
