This may be a contentious post but It has been a month since reports started, but I fail to understand why our beloved AVFC have failed to comment on the Benteke situation. I think like the Belhanda no news may be bad news, hopefully I'm completely wrong. With Wiemann it seemed there was almost a commentary, with Benteke it appears to be different, not even a comment from his agent, so I'm starting to have doubting thoughts, any one else feeling the same way?

It seems there is nothing better than a player that would put a cigar out in the eye of one of our promising youth players along with spending a season in jail and missing 10 games through suspension. Interesting post on Benteke, but to be believed by us cynics your "very good authority" is not good enough anymore, they now have to be at least "very very good authority" before we believe them, please verify the standard.

Villa plan a second bid for Kiyotake, Nuremburg FC. The inital bid that all the papers are talking about was bid several weeks ago and rejected. They are currently in talks with a new bid and player agreements. Expect this one to be confirmed and sealed when we shift Ireland and Bent. Touted price for the young Japenese AM, £7mil. VTID

Its believed they'd accept £9m for him after they rejected our £7.5m first bid.

He got 12-13 assists last year and scored a few himself in an average team surely at us he would be an animal. Would try 5m and Ireland or bannan or whatever useless player we want to get rid of

The reported accepted fee for Kiyo is 7mil Euro. His agent had informed Villa after the rejected initial bid, that he had a get out clause so Villa have gone ahead and activated it. Also, we have accepted a £6-8mil bid for Bent in the past 10 minutes! Great news!

Who is the Bent bid from and where have you heard this /Nothing on Sky yet that I can see and they are usually first with such news.

Not for sale, he been training away from the first team??

They did play together but not for long because Downing signed for us with a serious long term injury, so they only played about 6 or 7 matches as a 4.

I think the not for sale comment wasn't about bent as it was posted on the other thread about kiyotake. But either way its wrong

I agree with the old starting 11 but swap the cb's for mellberg and laursen ;)
