It seems more and more to me that it's Adebayor himself who might be the stumbling block. I can see Tom Fox saying that we'll pay only x a week, take it or leave it, and Adebayor's having a hard time swallowing it, torn by his desire to play for TS again perhaps? Only time will tell but an underpaid (in his eyes) Adebayor might be even worse than the on-off-on-off one we've come to expect.

If I was Tom Fox, I would be looking to get him in on a performance based contract, so if he starts playing up and not performing we aren't stuck paying him massive wages. He probably wouldn't take it but I think we are in a strong enough position at the moment with new players that we could just leave him and try for other targets.

Just seen Albion have made a bid for Praet. Provided TS has the money, I think this is one he should push through. Make a statement that we're not going to lose out, and that we are well and truly coming out of our hibernation.

Anyone heard any progress on adebayor or berbatov? I wouldn't be overwhelmed with either of these players coming into villa however if ts can get adebayor firing again I think we will be set for a great season with ade leading up front. Just watching tekes goal now and man I miss him already.

I would suspect that now we have signed gustede we no longer need adebeyor. We have kozak and rudy now who are both strong in the air. Then ayew and gabby, Sinclair to play off them. I'd more understand berbatov now, who could add something different.

If it was a straight choice between one or the other I'd sway towards berba. He offers something very different and adebayor is similar to gestede and kozac.
