Stoke City looking to sign Darren Bent for a fee including Kenwyne Jones + Cash

Why would you putthis up? Why would lambert sell a 20 goal a season striker for a player who could maybe get 10? Are you a stoke fan trying to imagine your a bigger club than us?

Has lambert not said that he has not come to villa to sell our star striker ?

Darren Bent will 100% be leaving Aston Villa, sorry to disappoint {Ed043's Note - i highly doubt this statement is true as he has already stated that he is staying at villa and wants to play under the new manager}

Jones is quality. Not as good as bent but way better than the unproven , lukaku, Rhodes, and the old klasnic. Sturridge would be the only one I want but he's just been diagnosed with mennengitus

Jones is rubbish. Bent is not a 20+ goal a season striker.

Jones is probably one of the best players in the air atm a threat for any team him and bent would tear it up

With Villa needing defensive options and Mellberg stating he wants to return to the premier could this mean he's coming back to Villa??
Or will Lambert go for Clynne, Ayala J.Ollson,Dann even Lescot {Ed043's Note - i doubt we will see mellberg coming back to villa park and dont think it would be a good idea because he has such a good reputation so should leave himself as a hero of villa, all these players could really add to the team and are our reach so i would expect lambert to target these player

Is it me or do villa look to see who west ham want to sign an then decide they want to sign them as well

Lambert signed Ayala at Norwich, he is aquality defender, I think after recent events Villa must be prepared to pay over the odds for any Norwich players.......Whats the problem with Given? I think he is one of the top keepers in the prem, it's not his fault he had 10 under preforming players infront of him for most of last season.

Given is nothing more than mediocre, proven again in the euros, but he was an extremely top keeper in his day. Villa can build a future with Lindergaard... {Ed043's Note - i wouldnt forget that given was not fully fit throughout the euro's and had an incredible season in goal for us}

Ayala will not be going to Villa he has still got 2 years and will be following the same rout as Holt

I dnt remeber ayala playing much for norwich this season. And im sure he'd prefer lambert a man who gets the best out of young hungry players

No You are wrong Ayala is not leaving, he will be signing an extention to his contract this week, Hughton has got most of the first team squad all on 4 year contracts.

Given's save against West Brom, pretty much kept us up...

If reports /rumors are to be believed Villa are interested in signings 1 of the following exciting young wingers

Tom Ince
Matty Phillips
Wilfred Zaha
Scott Sinclair (it would be nice to his misses at villa park :-) )
