A move for Demba Savage is likely this window, press in Finland believe Southampton along with us have had him watched x amount of times, with Villa set to pounce first.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Brilliant signing.

Agree7 Disagree1

I don't want any Villa players with the name Savage, brings up the thought of Robbie Savage - yuck!

Agree9 Disagree5

Living in Helsinki I can assure Villa fans that this would be a very good signing. Savage can play anywhere up front and on either wings.

He possesses excellent dribbling ability and has an eye for the creative ball. A fun player to watch. would be a great bit of business and he deserves a chance for a bigger stage like Villa

Agree10 Disagree2

He's going to Everton

Agree1 Disagree8

Everton have NO MANAGER and so no transfer targets yet! Btw martinezs targets will have changed as he will have access to greater funds if he is to succeed moyes as Everton manager.

Benteke, Weimann and Lowton all in talks with Paul Lambert on signing new deals

Believable13 Unbelievable4

Lowton might stay with you. but the other two will not

Agree5 Disagree14

Says a man in the know I suppose?
I wish people would keep idle speculation confined to the teams they actually support
Mendax

Agree8 Disagree3

I wouldn't be that upset with weimann he just seems arrogant

Agree6 Disagree7

Benteke has denied wanting to leave & him with Weimann are in final stages of sorting new contracts along with Matty Lowton.
Shows how much you know!

Agree5 Disagree2

I have it on good authority that Norwich have been in touch and made a bid for Wiemann, and being a former youth player he won't cost to much, and Norwich being in a position to tempt him away

Agree3 Disagree11

All three will stay, however benteke will leave after next season-- he has said previously that he feel a lot of gratitude towards lambert as we took a gamble on a player who only had one good season. all the other thing about him saying he wants to leave is bull& twisted

Agree8 Disagree0

Weimann too Norwich Is a hilarious suggestion

Agree12 Disagree4

Wiemann has been linked with Norwich for 6 months now. Plus Norwich have a lot more money

Agree3 Disagree11

Funniest story ever why on earth would weimann go norwich?cant stop laughin. where u hear ya liar?haha

Agree8 Disagree2

Norwich do NOT have more money than randy lerner multi billionaire

Agree7 Disagree4

Lets be fair, they'd signed RVW so they must be rich remember.

Agree1 Disagree2

Norwich are owned by a crazy cookery lady named Delia Smith. Villa are owned by a man who sold a franchise in the USA for $1 billion this year - now explain please to me how Norwich seem rich compared to us!
Norwich have probably been looking at the Weimann who plays in Serie B who sits on the bench every match.

Agree6 Disagree1

Makes no Difference how much the Owner has, the question is How much will he give Lambert to spend

Its already been said that the Money to buy RVW is from last years budget and is also said that around the £35mil mark is to be set aside for next season, Sort of blows Lambert's Lack of funds report out of the water, probably Norwich didn't trust him with big money spending is the real reason he stormed out, guess no one apart from him and Norwich will ever know the reason for his departure, we as fans can draw our own Conclusions,

Agree2 Disagree5

More money? How many cook books do you think she's sold haha.

Agree6 Disagree1

In the last two seasons alone we've spent enough to be able to buy norwich's starting 11, not that we'd want to. Then again norwich are rich compared to the poor farmers over there!

Agree3 Disagree2

Conclusions, Norwich have spent two season in the premiership. Dated stadium which holds 16,000 less and hosts no extra income events, much poorer facilities and they expect to spend a few quid and do something. Its quite funny really. Even more funny come January next season when they are near the bottom of the league

Agree7 Disagree0

Lambert will be given money if a player is worth it - he didn't spend his whole budget from last summer he openly admits that.

Agree6 Disagree0

Delia Smith is worth £23m & her husband is worth £14.5m.
If we spent Smith's worth on Darren Bent alone, please explain how you have better finance than villa!
£35m? that'd clean her out!

Agree6 Disagree1

Norwich owners are worth a total of around £37m, Lerner is worth £1500m, who is richer than!
Because in all honesty i'm not seeing how you think Norwich have more money than Villa!

Agree5 Disagree1

This is the most tragically pitiful debate I have seen on here. From both signs of the argument
Mendax

Agree2 Disagree2

Norwich actually increased their home attendance last season so they possibly have some more money to spend. Sixty six extra supporters went through the gates of the carrot patch putting approx. £1000 in the till. Not sure if all the extra were Canaires. So there you are, they do have money to spend.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well said Mendax,

Norwich have limited funds, they are now debt free and aim to stay that way, there will be no massive injections of cash from Delia, we will not spend more than the prem riches offer. Villa should have more gate revenue, but at a guess I would say thier spending on player wages is higher.

Agree2 Disagree2

Why are norwich always trying to argue with villa about stadium, money, status etc try it with birmingham city its a more even match but even the blues have won more than norwich city

Agree6 Disagree0

Wer not trying to argue! because stadiums and fans opineons mean jack! Wer both premier league clubs for atleast another season snd that's all that matters!

Regarding Weimann I personally would not want him at Norwich, he seems quite erratic at times and he needs a bit more experience in the top flight before moving to anyone. he's better off staying at Villa and growing there. which I believe he will do!

Agree3 Disagree0

You poor Villa fans, you Can't have a conversation without twisting words and try to make yourselves look intelligent, The original post was not about the wealth of owners it was the amount of money entrusted to the manager to spend in the next transfer window, Norwich will not build a 35-40. 000 seated stadium at this early stage, Other clubs have done so and been smacked in the face, Stability comes first. We will not be in the bottom 3 by January, Last season we were there for 1 week and that was due to a different play day, you on the other hand were around that bottom spot for most if not all of the season.

Norwich fans stick by what we have and stay till the final whistle, when you lot are live on tv most of you stay at home, we are packed out every home game and take full quote of fans to away matches.

And what makes people think Delia and Michel only have £35mil between them? this is a myth they are worth more than that they are wise and keep personal matters away from public

Agree0 Disagree3

Okay if the orignal post was about how much money we'll have to spend, I'd bet you my house we spend more money than you. Not that I care in the slightest who spends what! As for the poster above, you're being ridiculous saying you wouldn't want weimann, norwich have possibly the worst attack in the league, they'd kill for somebody decent up there! The only reason you're saying you don't want him is because there is absolutely no chance of it happening. Weimann is far to good for norwich, and too good for villa atm!

Agree1 Disagree0

Does it really matter that Lerner is worth £1500 million, he does not seem to interested on spending it on the club. I don't know too much about Lerners history, is he a life long fan of Villa?

Agree1 Disagree1

Lerner supported Villa from when he was in university & he has tried spending big & it just collided with the timing of the Man Cit£h buyout.

Agree0 Disagree1

Remind where Villa finished in the league vis a vis Norwich

Evertons Heitinga to sign a deal with villa and link up with fellow countryman Ron vlaar in a 2.5m deal.

Believable6 Unbelievable15

Better defender than Bennett but very very slow

Agree7 Disagree6

Nice gag

Agree7 Disagree3

Why on earth are you comparing heitinga a centre back with bennett a left back?loada rubbish

Agree11 Disagree2

Heitinga is awful, his positioning his pace. dreadful for a supposed top player. We have Clark who is a tad better than him so that's a no go

Agree8 Disagree5

When was the last time he played cb for Everton or holland?

Agree5 Disagree2

He played cb against us, and when he's not playing centre back he's a right back. Not once has he played as a left back. {Ed001's Note - he has played fairly regularly as a defensive midfielder too.}

Agree6 Disagree0

Heitinga is a CB/RB, he's never played as a LB so there's no reason to compare him to Bennett.

Can't see us signing him anyway

Agree5 Disagree3

Thanks for topping up my knowledge ed, wasnt aware that he's played there too. Anyway he's not the worst we could sign right now but we could certainly do better for the same price and less wages. Doubt lambert would be interested either way. {Ed001's Note - Arsenal were interested in him originally, a few years ago, as a defensive midfielder.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Benteke owned him at goodison, made him look sunday league. So doubt this will happen

ASTON VILLA FC. Leaked!
#AVFC in talks over Memphis Depay as a replacement for Nzogbia/Ireland

Believable7 Unbelievable3

He would be a good signing. Very creative player.

Agree4 Disagree2

Really? With his team mate Dries Merten? Can't see it but would love it!

Agree5 Disagree1

How old and who's he play for?

Agree4 Disagree1

19 & PSV

Agree4 Disagree0

Both Mertens (26) Depay (19) play for PSV.

Agree5 Disagree0

19 years old winger plays for PSV

Agree5 Disagree0

Leaked where exactly? On here? I love coming to read this site but 99% of the stuff posted never comes good. so why say leaked?

I would love the signing if true but this is the first I've heard of it all. let alone leaked info

Agree1 Disagree1

28 May 2013 10:32:43
Dries mertens is on pl's hit list along with murphy and drogovic from basle, also he's going to go bk to Norwich for hoolahan as the creative influence in midfield to support Westwood

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I would love Mertens but he ain't coming to Villa, he is better than that

Agree5 Disagree1

Hoolahan no way delph is a thousand times better. yes we need a midfielder but a big strong box to box midfielder not another 5 footer. no sense in this deal.

Agree5 Disagree2

Please take wes.
He's done well for us but norwich are pushing forward.
Paul lamberts a great manager but he has to make players believe in Aston villa. It's going to be a good summer for both clubs let's hope we both finish in top 10 next year.

Agree5 Disagree1

Delph is NOT better than Hoolahan. Totally different players to start with and Delph doesn't have the ability to change a game like Hoolahan. Utter rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree3

Delph is better then hoolahan already and still has more potential to be a box to box midfielder sort of like Ramires at chelski

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently villa set to sign alexander kolorov on loan from man city for the season

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Not gunna happen, massive wages, an is a poor defender, not much better than Bennett at LB, very good going forward tho

aston villa are set to sign byern munich nils Paterson on loan for a season with a option to buy him for 2-3 mill if he's loan spell goes well the german scored 11 goals last season for werder Bremen the 24 year old is keen on the move as he wants regular football. going to replace weimenn who is going to spurs

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Interesting, although Werder Bremen announced his permanent signing for them last week.

Agree6 Disagree4

We will probably get a Dortmund player during the next window. Obviously not a massive signing but 5 m on someone like leitner or bittencourt

Agree3 Disagree6

Peterson has signed a 4 year deal with Werder, so he is not coming to Villa

Agree7 Disagree1

The same Weimann who is in talks to sign a new double your money deal? B. s!

Agree5 Disagree1

He has just signed a contract with Werder Bremen in the past week, so he's going nowhere.

Agree6 Disagree1

Is this the same Nils Peterson that's just (May 23rd), signed a four year year deal with Werder Bremen,
Stop guessing and talking rubbish!
