The chairman Steve Hollis met with the Aston Villa Fans Consultation Group and they have today been told, and I quote "The club have been in talks with investors from the UK, America and the Far East. They want to get new owners in before a new manager is appointed so that the new people can bring in their own.
So it looks certain that something is now on the cards and the rise from the ashes begins.

maybe the doubters with start and belive now. I'm confident from the whispers I'm hearing from a contact in China that they are in pole position at the moment but ellison is a proper player in this as well.

In light of this information I cannot believe that the press still continue to link us with players when Villa have now stated that they want the new owner to choose their own manager, it therefore would most likely also mean that no new signings would be chosen or made yet either. By the way my choice for manager is now jose mourinho and I won't accept nobody else Lol ;-)

won't happen but it would be very interesting to see what he could do in terms of rebuilding a club from that league and how far he could take us over say 5 years and a fair budget. and if Rafa were to stay at Newcastle he could compete against his old mate the Spanish waiter in that league lol.

King villa - What whispers have you heard from China? You should start up your own website with such rare and insightful inside knowledge.
I would suggest 'Villa-leaks', but the jokes about the holes in our defence would probably crash the site in minutes.

just the word on the street there is that the Chinese are very close on a deal and that it's been slowed down at mo now as Mr ellison has come to the table and matched the offer so now Mr hollis is looking at 2 very good offers. either way we would either get Mr ellison or the Chinese is a group of 3 very rich men one being wang jalin and the other 2 are said to be not far behind him in terms of there cash. I'm hearing a combined wealth of 70 billion. these are only things I'm being told from a contact in China no inside info or me claiming to be in the know.

former villa manager Paul lambert has activated a clause in his contract to leave Blackburn in the summer. now I'm being told that this is because he has agreed to become the new celtic manager so Pearson and moyes will not be going there after all.

{Ed007's Note - Paul Lambert has no interest in taking the Celtic job. He simply doesn't want the hassle for him or his family that the job brings and he also said,

'I had eight terrific years at Celtic but there comes a time when you have to cut your ties. I still look for Celtic's result and Seville will always remain the biggest disappointment in my football career. But the idea of coming back just doesn't appeal to me.
I mean no disrespect to Scottish football but England is just a bigger place. I'm proud of my Scottish heritage but a move back home is not for me. The idea of playing the same club anything from four to six times a season doesn't appeal to me'.

So you think he putting it on the back burner ed?
Perhaps he could take Lennon as is number 2!!
Lol

I think Roy Keane is there next manager, won't be confirmed till season finished, but seems nailed on for me.

{Ed007's Note - Isn't Lennon one of the favourites for the Villa job? As soon as he heard the owner was called Randy he was all over it. The only way Keane will take the Celtic job is if there are massive changes behind the scenes and I can't see that happening - yet.}

But how long has it been since he said that, Ed? If I were manager of Blackburn and got an offer from Celtic, I would take it. Lambert should take it if he's got it because he needs something like that in his declining career.

Haha!! Very funny ed!

I have a feeling big changes will happen with you boys this close season, with the enemy back up there.

And I think Roy is the perfect fit for you boys.

{Ed007's Note - The problem is that we have a CEO in Peter Lawwell and Football Development Manager John Park who Lawwell can't see past his ideas, Park is basically doing the job of a DOF and not doing it very well. They're picking the signing targets, deciding contracts, who stays or goes with very little manager input and there is no way guys like Keane or Moyes are willing to work under those constraints. That's why Keane turned it down two years ago.
Since Gordon Strachan left the Celtic managers have been working with one hand tied behind their back. Look at Ronny Deila, we sold Fraser Forster to Southampton for £10 million and replaced him with Craig Gordon who had hardly played a game in years and that was even before RD came in where he had two assistants that he he had never met before forced on him - one of them, John Collins, being an old friend of John Park.
There's a lot of anti-Lawwell feeling at the Club over matters I won't bore you with but there are murmuring that the Irish money men are not best pleased with the way things are going and of they decide to flex their financial muscle it could well be Keane, remember the last time Dermot Desmond talked Martin O'Neill into the job with millions to spend and total control of team affairs.
Maybe MON will fancy the DOF job with Keane as manager.
Believe it or not but I actually have some of Roy Keane's DNA in me, I got an autographed programme from his testimonial and licked it where his fingers were!}

I'm glad you clarified how you got some dna in you!. Had someone nasty thoughts!!

Great, passionate post ed.

{Ed007's Note - I had second thoughts about asking for a dna sample the other way - I didn't want to appear creepy :)

Lambert is now favourite for the Celtic job, Pelligrini is favourite for the Everton job, Pearson could be off to Middlesborough, so it could be that we're Moyes' only choice- I certainly hope so.

Haha just read Mail report on cut price Villa to be sold for as little as £40m and then repeats every other rumour. It just shows that NOTHING is happening. It's sad but there will be no takeover.
