So gollini is slagging our training since bruce came. well i know inside info from the club he had 3 reviews he wasnt good enough but was brought any how has he had same agent as RDM. How do i know, well i am on the Villa trust.

Is anyone else getting twitchy regarding the Hourihane transfer.
Rumours in other parts of the country suggest that some prem clubs pushing their noses in to see if they can grab him from under our noses.
SB has done some really good work and I want this one more than the others.
Premier League teams see the price, £1.5m, as worth a punt, a no brainer.
Come on SB get it done, even if you have to up your offer!

All is good in regards to Hourihane just a lot of faffing with agents fees.
Expect him to be announced 4-5 tonight!

I also have worries over hourihhane. He is the main one for me, Must be other clubs after him, Let's all hope anyway,
I can see either kozak, Westwood bacuna and rmc will be going before window closes.

Marty James joined Barnsley on loan which surely indicates that hourihane is on his way to us fingers crossed.

Hoularan to be completed tonite after Barnsley finally got a replacement, will be announced either tonite or most probably tomorrow morning

Hourihane is the key to the next 3 months. He will make the difference.
Can't help but think that Bruce signed the Viking in case he fails with Hourihane.

Smudge, I see no evidence of the James story anywhere.
I know from a source that a lower prem club sniffing around and we have cleared the way showing he is available. Got everything crossed, hope he signs soon.

So Bree and Bjarnson have been announced, bit Nervous about Hourihane, either their leaving him till last for effect because of how much fans have been asking about him, or if reports are believed Crystal Palace have nipped in and took him last minute. Really hope not as they've been working on him the longest and sounds like agent fees could be the minor detail to let it down!

Gardner westwood Jedinak tshbola can all go there guttless losers they haven't got any fight we are Aston Villa its not ok to be mid table in the championship its not ok to keep losing or blowing leads. Well done Bruce, his been in the game a while say what you like our midfield was the worst in all 4 leagues now his getting a complete new 1 and trying to make it have some balls to win a football game!

I thought that bjarnson was maybe set up in case the Hourihane deal fell through but by all accounts we should be getting both. However I do feel that he will be used as a left mid the way he is for Iceland, because other than green we don't have any other option there.
As for the other mids in my personal opinion I see it as Lansbury, Hourihane and Jedinak won't be going anywhere then Gardner > Tshibola > Westwood, hard to pick between Gardner and Westwood, Gardner much better on the ball; passing, set pieces etc but no where near as much a physical presence like tish, but all depends who you play.
Westwood no doubt has qualities but I think now it's impossible for him to come back and be accepted, if he passed 3 amazing balls in a game and sideways once people would pick that out (not saying he does pick out amazing balls), so similar to Clark he needs to go to get back to the level he can be at.

What it means for Gardner is immaterial. What it means for Villa is the issue.
I would like to see a Villa midfield that Gardner lacks the quality to get into (no malice toward the lad himself)
