Benteke hints that lukaku could join villa on loan according to sources. imagine benteke and lukaku upfront at Villa. devastating for oppositions if true

Believable13 Unbelievable10

Can't see it happening.

Agree13 Disagree5

When has benteke said this

Agree11 Disagree3

Sounds like Lukaku might be the replacement for Benteke.

Cant imagine Benteke will be sold though, not this season. And suspect Lukaku might go to West Ham or Baggies.

Bent about to be sold for £3 million plus £3 million in clauses

Agree7 Disagree8

Would love to see it happen, but don't know if it will wba are ment to be having him again

Agree4 Disagree3

Benteke contract talks have broken down, He wants to move on now, Arsenal favourite to sign him,

Agree3 Disagree9

Unless Arsenal pay 25-30m they will not be signing him.

Agree6 Disagree2

Yet his agent has said since that the press are hounding his family & all those near him to try get a story while he's away on international duty - never trust the press!

Agree1 Disagree1

If Benteke wants to leave, he will leave and the price will be about £20 million. No more. And paid in installments.

Luckily, his agent sounds more confident he will stay at AV

Agree2 Disagree9

Contract talks haven't broken down, tactics used to get more money out of villa.

Agree7 Disagree1

Christian Benteke insists he will leave Aston Villa if one of the Premier League's top clubs wants to sign him. He wants out. The club is to small for him and he doesn't want to be involved in a relagation battle every season.!

Agree5 Disagree4

Would not be a surprise if Benteke moves on. Arsenal have the money and need a goalscorer. Reckon Randy will turn down £20M for him? No, thought not.

Agree6 Disagree6

I can't hold it against benteke wanting to leave for a bigger club, but its the way he goes about getting a move that's important to me, he cost £8m an has more than paid us back.

Some of the quotes from him that I'm reading are sounding far to disrespectful to the club an fans, he's aggressively seeking a move to another club an is making not so subtle threats in public about what he'll do to get his move.

Agree10 Disagree2

If he wants to go to a big club he won't choose arsenal they have won nothing for years defo want win champions league next and can't hold on to there own best players the man is staying more rubbish from the sun the most truthful paper around wanna watch his phone isn't tapped

Strong reports from Holland suggest Aston Villa are tracking Alkmaar ace Jozy Altidore - No official approach has been made until Darren Bent is moved on but high interest is apparent according to a club official.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Looks good 6ft1 american 23yr old striker who's scored 20 goals this season for AZ Alkmaar

Agree6 Disagree8

He's off to stoke

Agree2 Disagree9

No way he would go stoke a lot of top clubs are monitoring him from spain and italy including catania. He scored 23 plus 8 cup goals. Woudd be interesting to see him linked up with benteke. yes very strong player

Agree4 Disagree2

Forget about him, what's going on with benteke? Just been reading some stuff about him going on sky!

Agree5 Disagree1

What "stuff" u talkin about re benteke?!

Agree2 Disagree0

He was probably mis heard he will stay another year at least he said he owes lambert.

Agree3 Disagree3

Its called agent tactics - its all about getting the best wages for him possible and making the team sweat. its been happening for how long and still peiple can't figure it out? the media also has a big hand in this and will lie about teams interested to do same thing and sell papers and stories.

Agree7 Disagree0

Altidore is s****! He'll be a waste of space at villa

Agree8 Disagree5

Isn't this the player that was at hull and couldn't score 4 toffee

Agree9 Disagree3

How is altidore ****? he's scored 30+ in a weak an poor season for AK he has been outstanding and a standout. Yes he had an awful run at hull but hull were terrible that season. and don't forget he was only 20 and unsettled due to villareal misusing him sending him out on loan to many teams he was never given a good run until alkmaar. similar situation to freddy adu except altidore has been given a proper crack at the whip and has progressed so well in the past two seasons he is definately prepared for that step up.

Agree4 Disagree8

At hull he was like 17 and being played on the wing. He's a striker

Agree4 Disagree7

Altidore was 20yo when at Hull.
An I stand by what I said about him being s****! He's all physicality, no technical ability what so ever. An the fact he's scored so many goals in holland is an indictment on that league

Agree6 Disagree2

This is typical journalists making stories up if benteke really wanted to leave regardless of any offers wouldn't he put a transfer request in?

Agree0 Disagree3

Not necessarilly, how many footballers put in transfer request nowadays? Very few, They don't seem to like making it official, although as a last resort he will do that. {Ed001's Note - they don't because it costs them their laughably named 'loyalty bonus' if they put in a written transfer request. That is a percentage of their remaining contract and is usually millions. For instance Joe Cole last season was due a payment of £4m when Liverpool let him go on a free to West Ham. Considering he was going home, would get a large signing bonus and regular football, you would have thought he would just go, but he fought for as much as he could get.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Have you seen him play? theirs more to his game than strength. Many would agree holland is a stronger league than belguim and last season altidore scored 21 goals where benteke managed 19, this season 31 total. How can you say the Eredivisie league is weak when Benteke came from a weaker Belgian Pro-league to be a top 4 striker in the bpl?

Agree2 Disagree5

I've seen Altidore play for the USA this season, I can't dispute the goals he's got, but as a player I don't rate him, an what I've seen of him he's not improved since he left Hull an I don't think he'd be an improvement on Gabby or Weimann, so he'd be a squad player IMO, an it worries me that you seem to think he'd come in an take the prem by storm, never gunna happen IMO

Agree4 Disagree0

I watch the Dutch league, probably to much lol no doubt it's technically a fantastic league but defensively it's one of the worst out of the major European leagues, any player who scores goals in that league I wouldn't praise to highly until they prove it in a top league. Very few prolific goal scorers come out of holland an carry on being prolific.

On Altidore, I just don't see him making an impact at villa, he's hard working an is a strong runner but I don't think he'll get anywhere near the amount of goals in the prem that he's got in holland. i'd think there's better options out there.

>Scg87

Agree7 Disagree0

He won't sign for us but I'll stick by what I said by saying he's a good player. Better than weimann as a striker imo.

Aston Villa's Ins -

Jernade Meade
Aaron Cresswell
Luke Murphy
Dwight Gayle
Harry Forrester

Believable4 Unbelievable9

I'd like to see Loe and Dragovic in that list don't rate Gayle and Villa must of sold Forrester for a reason

Agree6 Disagree0

I would like to see josip llicic come to villa should be cheap if we are quick seeing Palermo got relegated

Agree3 Disagree1

Possibly the same reason that Arsenal released Meade and allegedly he's a done deal at Villa?

Agree3 Disagree1

Harry Forrester, the lad that left us originally because he wasn't deemed good enough

footballer Liam Prynn will complete a dream move to Premier Division Aston Villa this summer after a 'compensation package' was agreed with Torquay United.

The 16-year-old, from Constantine, will put pen to paper on a two-year scholarship on July 5, before he turns professional in 2015 after agreeing a one-year contract.

It is rare for players of this age to be offered pro terms so soon, but Villa officials have been so impressed they were keen to tie the young Cornishman down, with several other top flight clubs keen to sign him.

Prynn, who goes to Penryn Sports College, was in the West Midlands with his family at the weekend to discuss his move to Villa Park after the Villains reached a financial agreement with League Two Torquay, the club the teenager has been at since the age of 13.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

The kid lives by me by all accounts a good centre forward I know there are others clubs after him aswell
