It seems abit strange this v1ll4n, BR has come out and said he knows nothing about Benteke transfer to Liverstool or he's just stone walling.

I've got a hunch that he might fail his medical, still got the lead in his boots that stopped him jumping or running in the final.

Just a managers way of saying "I don't wish to discuss It" and nothing more, he will be a Liverpool player by the end of tomorrow.

Great clause because the FA Cup final would surely have knocked £5m at least off CB. I have thought Man Utd were going to hijack this deal all along with BRs track record with transfers?

Hey first time posting on this site. been following for years every transfer window.

Im living in Vancouver Canada at the moment so find it hard to follow these rumours and stories as closely.

Is there actualy any evidence that Benteke is leaving the club? I mean the story has got blown up just because of the sale of Sterling.

It seems like everything is happening soon with Villa at the moment. sale of the club / sale of benteke wish all this business would just get wrapped up

Benteke be a fool to leave for Liverpool too. especially with United in need of a striker. Much bigger club.

Benteke is in London having a medical for Liverpool bit random it's in London but looks like he will be gone this week

I see a lot of people prefer hutton to bacuna.
Interested to hear your opinions.

bacuna puts excellent balls into the box although I admit looks afraid on the ball at times and dodgy in defence. hutton on the other hand ends up somehow being our only outlet in attack and he delivers shocking service. lowton used to put a great ball into the box too.

Will you aim higher than Austin and Townsend, I certainly wouldn't want them at Aston Villa, because I don't think that they are worth the money.

Recently Aston Villa had an offer from Roma to sign both Destro and Ljajić.
Tim made an offer to sign Embolo. Romero can also be signed on a free transfer. These are decent quality players, and are worth the money.

Tim would have all the players he needs if he signs them.

Lads, let's aim for these players instead.

Austin odds on to sign at villa apparently!
i can't tell you how much i hope this is true. i honestly think with the addition of austin and maybe 1 or 2 more we are set for a good looking season. i'm not expecting a miracle this year but i do expect a significant difference in our win ratio. mid table i can be happy with this year next year we need to start climbing.

Aston Villa are targeting a lot of strikers to replace Christian Benteke, who will leave the club after Liverpool have agreed to pay out his entire contract release fee. From what I know, Emmanuel Adeboyar, Charlie Austin and Callum Wilson are top of Tim Shirwood's list. All have the potential to be great signins. Let's not forget Shirwood got Adeboyar scoring again at Spurs, Wilson is a great, young, English talent and Austin was one of the top scorers last season despite being in a failing QPR team. Let me know your thoughts.

The Charlie Austin signing is the way to go. Why mess around. If new midfield signings work out, we won't miss Delph. Gil is better going forward. Delph just gave us one decent season. At least Gil and the new lads want to play for Aston Villa. Austin got the same amount of goals as Benny, but playing for QPR. He'd be a massive hit at AVFC!

Seen a few reports about over the last 12 hours linking us with babacar. I feel he would be a much better option than this oulare guy who has not done nothing yet. Only played 11 matches getting 1 goal. Babacar came into his own last season getting 20 in 40 so 1 in 2. He would be a great cheap option costing about 8 million and I also like martial who we have inquired about.
