Apparently Lambert hasn't opened talks with villa due to wanting to see how liverpool pans out so surely now Martinez seems to be on his way Lambert could now open talks if not looks like it will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer however the manger will be announced by monday at the latest but heres hoping

Stop it ffs. Lambert is said to be re-shaping the Norwich team They wouldn't allow him to do anything like that if he was moving, take a look at sky, He released 5 players yesterday, Would Delia allow that to happen I think we'll get Sholskar

Fair play to AMC. Love him or loathe him, he has shown great dignity and class admitting that he let the club and supporters down when he could have blamed everyone else and just taken the ash and run Some managers wouldn't do that at all and the almighty MON didn't when he abandoned the club when he couldn't get what he wanted. I wish him all the best- he just wasn't simply good enough to fill our expectations as a club. Fingers crossed for a more suitable manager.

I wholeheartedly agree. He was the wrong man, but as the backlash started before a ball was kicked he was simply never going to succeed. It's his appointment that is the real problem and those responsible should look long and hard at themselves. As frankly should several of the players, who continued to draw a hefty sallary, whilst playing like rubbish. McLeish has carried himself with dignity in the circumstances. Goodbye. I'm not sorry to see you go, but good luck in the future.

Totally agree. Couldn't stand him as a manager or coach but as a bloke he seemed decent.....unlike O'neill who seems to have some kind of personality disorder

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeh, good luck to the man. He made a mess of the footballing side of things and came out from some daft comments to the press but kept his dignity so fair play. He was made a mug of by the board who spied a chance to grab a scapegoat extraordinaire!

Agree fully with the poster above who says certain players need to take a long hard look at themselves. They did nothing to help McLeish's chances and should be hanging their heads in shame after a season like that.

Agree3 Disagree0

And so to the fans hang heads in shame you never intended to give him any backing even before he arrived, protest march all these protests were having effects on the players too, so take the blame for Villa's demise on your own chins, its you not the manager who fale'd

After reading the metro they seem to think that our 4 manager targets are:

Lambert
Martinez
AVB
And a manager who has too many reservations over taking the post which I personally think is Lee Clark after his interview on sky sports some days ago.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Well Don't think it will be Lambert, take a look at thier web site www.canaries.co.uk he is busy with players contracts today,If he was about to jump ship he would not be anywhere near the club Would He

Agree5 Disagree1

Lambert not coming He's been busy today with player contracts, would Norwich allow this if he was about to leave

Martinez to be announced by Thursday night, expect to see Villa play the infamous 3-4-3 formation next season too, N'zogbia will seem like a new signing playing this way, two of Moses, Diame, Figuroa are expected to make the move also.

With RL in Norway currently speaking to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, I can't see this happening.

Agree7 Disagree3

Lerner touched down in England today, I doubt he's away to Norway already.^^

Agree4 Disagree2

I have a friend who lives in Norway and she confirms Oli is thought to be on his way to Villa, they could also be confused as he owns a massive Villa in the Mountains

Agree4 Disagree1

I posted that before I fully heard what is happening. It turns out RL's jet is going to Norway to pick him up and bring him here tomorrow.

Sounds crazy but it will happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whelan has given Martinez permission to hold talks with LFC - and I hope the members of the board there are stupid enough to appoint him. Martinez is not, in my humble opinion, the man for Villa.

Agree1 Disagree1

As for the stories re: Randy jetting off to collect OGS, the plane pictured in Norway and being bandied about Twitter has the wrong 'number plate' or whatever it's called on a plane so it's not Lerner's. Just the rumour mill in full swing again. Mick was yesterday's 'favourite' and Ole is today's. Wonder who tomorrow's will be?

Agree2 Disagree1

It is a done deal, it is being reported on all sports wires.

Agree1 Disagree0

Bringing Park, Anderson and Rafael (loan) with him........ Oh and mike 'crock and stale' Owen
